Hey, just wanted to let folks know that the big "scoop" coming out on the 2001 Meet in Rome, (that led to the false papers Bush used to wage a false war)with Ledeen, Franklin, Nicolo Pollari, Italy’s Minister of Defense, Antonio Martino, and Harold Rhode: member of Dick Cheney’s Office of Special Plans, protege of Ledeen, go-between with Iraqi exile and CIA asset (at the time) Ahmed Chalabi..

was released by Takebackthemedia.com in the film "ROVE'S WAR" at least FIVE MONTHS ago, after a Year of Research!!!!

Anyone that has SEEN my film can verify this, that what is in the film is EXACTLY what is being released NOW as a SCOOP.

H2OMan can back me up on this, as well as anyone else Here who has seen my film which we've offered at Takebackthemedia.com for a LONG time now.

There is a thread claiming that Niger Officials were involved. Not true, the ROME Embassy was Broken into, just about the time that Bush was being sworn in as pResident, Niger officials had nothing to do with it, as the forgery was so pathetic as to have been laughable. The IAEA found the papers to be crude forgeries based on one and one half hours of GOOGLING.

This fellow worked at the DIA, and also worked directly under Wolfowitz and Feith as top Iran analyst for the Neo-Cons. He's cooperating with the FBI supposedly.

He's also associated with Michael Leeden.

Larry Franklin was involved in the phony Niger docs used as an excuse by the neo-cons to start the war on Iraq. At least he went to Rome to a meeting with Leeden and there they received the obvious forgeries.


JANUARY 2001 BREAK-IN AT NIGER EMBASSY

At night, between the first and second of the January 2001, a mysterious thief came to the embassy of Niger in Rome and into the residence of the counselor in charge. It turned out that some letterhead and seals were missing. A second dossier on Niger-Iraq trade soon came into Martino’s hands, one that included references to uranium trafficking. Martino claims he got it from embassy personnel and that he thought it was authentic.

Martino passed it on to the French secret service, who had paid for it, and also to Panorama , which assessed it by dispatching a female reporter to Niger. Panorama also turned the file over to the US Embassy in Rome for cross-checking in the US.

The female journalist soon told Martino that the trip to Niger had not produced any real confirmation, and also the French confirmed to Martino that the reports he had passed on to them were groundless. In other words, Bush’s war rationale was debunked way back in 2001 by amateur and professional sleuths.

Furthermore, it was a very amateurish forgery, not likely produced through official channels by any state intelligence agency with their vast resources. However, it was soon resuscitated as the Bush administration, in its first year, ramped up its public relations campaign for war.

ROME MEETING IN DECEMBER 2001

Michael Ledeen organized a meeting in Rome to gather evidence to support the planned war. Present were:

1. Michael Ledeen, Karl Rove’s foreign policy advisor and organizer of the meeting

2. Nicolo Pollari, head of the the Italian equivalent of the CIA, the SISMI

3. Italy’s Minister of Defense, Antonio Martino (no relation apparently to the spy Rocco Martino), Pollari’s boss

4. Larry Franklin, an American who presently is being prosecuted in the US for giving classified information to an Israeli front group, AIPC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) -- which some would call "spying," even though he has not been charged with espionage

5. Harold Rhode: member of Dick Cheney’s Office of Special Plans, protege of Ledeen, go-between with Iraqi exile and CIA asset (at the time) Ahmed Chalabi.

Ledeen already had a longstanding friendship with Francesco Pazienza, an Italian felon and forger who had been kicked out of the official Italian intelligence organization SISMI but who had found a new home in the renegade intelligence agency P-2 (Propaganda Due). Pazienza apparently was not present but definitely was known to Italian intelligence agents, including Rocco Martino, as well as to Ledeen.

Ledeen also was a personal friend of Pollari, who, like Ledeen, is a master of the card game bridge (Ledeen writes columns on it). There are close ties between Pollari’s official intelligence organization, SISMI, and Pazienza’s unnofficial one, P-2. In fact, P-2 recruits from SISMI.

to expose these monsters. The film took me out of the loop for about a year, didn't make any new flash work for such a long time that other sites are now the Place to BE :)

I don't get any seniority points for all that work, because I beat my brains out on this film all that time, instead of releasing it in dribs and drabs to draw attention to my site, dummy me, should have sucked folks in, at least I don't claim to be a journalist, just a guy getting the goods on the creatures that stole my country :)

well, when I ran for Senate in College and came up with the second highest number of votes in the U's history I started wondering about the system, that's when my brother told me that he loved my platform so much that he voted for me TWICE :)

I ran on a platform of "Which Vegetable Do you Like the Most" for my posters, there were four Veggies represented, "Carrots, Broccoli, A head of Lettuce, and Ronald Reagan.."

I don't think you CAN K & R more than once, programmed to not let you... but I appreciate your good intentions, spreading the word would be fine as well, let folks know that there's a film out there that CALLED a LOT of this a very long time ago.. I took a lot of chances when I made "Rove's War", as I was going out on a limb here and there with my conjecture, but the research paid off, damn near everything I called on these guys not only came true, but in SPADES, including this Meeting with Rove and Cheney's people..

Franklin was already in deep doo doo at that time, and copping a Plea..

I spent a year reading everything and some of it just falls right into place, hell, even Joe Wilson ordered my film (I sent him three wrapped in Christmas paper)..

Joe apparently likes one of my other works as I've heard through the grapevine, the site I designed for Buzzflash (it was their concept) called the LibbyDefenseFund, where we asked people to channel their charity through organizations like "Doctors without Borders" and orgs like that..

what with TWO DVDS, but from what people have told me the time just flies BY, I still enjoy it myself and having edited it I should be sick of it, but there's just SO MUCH INFORMATION in it that it's like a good meal to me..

I made sure to add some comedy and satire to keep it from being too boring, some documentaries are just one talking head after another, then there's the office plant on the desk, some books behind the head, the flag, a poster, the phone -- but after a while the heads become interchangable, eh? :)

Thanks so much for your kind words, as for Novak, I may have saved that man's life that he attacked, caught him on ICE, after living in Fairbanks for ten years I know that ICE can KILL YOU if you hit wrong, and he was a BIG GUY that I caught, didn't help my back problem much..

But the LOOK on Novak's face was one I'll never forget.. I've worked in TWO nuthouses and have seen that face before, for people I felt SORRY FOR, but not for HIM, no siree.. wish I had that face on film..

Did you see the footage later where we chased Novak around the Kerry Win during the Primaries? We did it to the tune of "Bad Boys" from the COPS show, it's a hoot.. I should dig up that link :)

I didn't scoop Bush on his release of the formerly classified documents, but mentioned in the film that he was interviewed NOT under oath, which didn't mean that Fitz CAN'T ask for the same indictments for Obstruction, etc.. John Dean said that for Bush to "Lawyer Up" for the Fitz interview was UNHEARD of and there could be no other reason but that Bush had something to do with the leak himself.. now we know..

So I was CLOSE on that one..

Sort of like OJ hunting himself down, eh?

What happened with you and Novak? Sorry, I'm not familiar with that story. I dod remember Novak getting into a scuffle with someone, and AIRC, a Democrat getting him out of there.

I also know that Larry Franklin was at the Rome meeting with Ledeen and about 20 other men around the time that the Forged Niger documents surfaced.

So, are you saying that the recent news about the forging is not true, about the forgers, I mean?

Again, I strongly recommend that DUers buy, watch, and share this film with others. The parts about the Niger forgeries is very good, as is the entire film.

as I mentioned on the other thread, H2OMan was instrumental as an inspiration for me to do the research for a year and put together the complete chronology of the Plame outing on DVD (two of them in a set, actually, lot of info there, so much to tell), and his writings were so in depth and insightful that if you want to know what's going on NOW in great detail be sure to catch what he posts..

It's my pleasure to take a year off and do this work, it impacted my site badly, I wasn't making my usual flash films to keep it topical, but in the end I think it will be worth it.

I've offered to send off copies to any Congressman that wants one and some folks have "adopted" congressfolks for me to send my work to, I'm happy to say that they've been sent to their offices.

If they want to fight the media spin on this they need the whole story.

don't forget that Karl Rove once got letterheads from a prominant Democrats in Chicago years back and wrote "party invitations" on it, then went and reproduced and distributed it to all the soupkitchens and red light districts, with offers of "free beer and a good time" so bums and prostitues showed up at this Dem's headquarters..

In the film I surmise that with Rove's connections there's nothing to keep HIM from having his OWN Plumbers ala Nixxon, and using them in Rome, Ledeen and Franklin and the Italian Propaganda Due (2), and a KNOWN forger were at that meeting..

Appreciate the support, some folks have been showing the film at local coffee houses, they even showed it here where I live and it was well received..

Take the latest NYTIMES story for instance, while it's pretty good and lays a lot of the gig out (mostly where Fitz is talking) there is still some crap when is comes to a White House aide who won't give his name saying there was a war between the White House and the CIA..

Utter bullshit. Tenet was working WITH CHENEY, who made so many visits to the CIA headquarters that one 27 year staffer there made the statement that it was "UNHEARD OF" for a standing VP to spend that much time in the CIA breathing down necks, along with Tenet.. the staffer said that GHBUSH HIMSELF didn't spend time there and it's Named AFTER HIM..

Tenet called it a slam dunk, had offered the NIE to congress who balked, the NIE contained STRONG State dept language that said the Uranium story was "highly dubious". (BTW BOLTON was IN the State dept then, and demanding RAW Intel there, something that had never been done. When Powell sent one of him boys down to check on Bolton he was given the stiff arm, and kept from meetings, Bolton wanted to "keep it in the family" (What, PNAC'rs?)

Congress balked at the NIE and demanded more info, so Tenet handed them the WHITE PAPER, written BY the WHite House WHIG group, instead, this paper of course contained no such State Dept "dubious" claims.. of course everyone in the WHIG needs to be in CHAINS, and if you haven't seen the pic of WHO was in the WHIG I have one in my film, and you MAY have seen a CLIPPED version of it.. on the left and cut out in a lot of the pics is none other than GONZALES..
