MTP Today has John Kerry Talking Iraq & CIA Leak Case!
Then, SURPRISE!!!!! IMMIGRATION!!!!! :eyes: Why not the coming Iran attack Timmy??

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3898804/

Sunday, April 9
John Kerry, Henry Bonilla, Luis Gutierrez, J.D. Hayworth

Exclusive! 2004 Democratic nominee for President John Kerry (D-MA) joins us on this Sunday's "Meet the Press with Tim Russert," to discuss his new exit strategy for Iraq. On Thursday, Kerry introduced a Senate resolution with two deadlines -- one for Iraqi leaders to form a unity government by May 15th or face the immediate withdrawal of American troops; and the second, if the Iraqis do form a government, for American combat forces to be withdrawn by the end of 2006. We'll also talk to Senator Kerry about new reports that Vice President Cheney's former Chief of Staff, Lewis Libby, told prosecutors that President Bush authorized the leaking of sensitive intelligence to refute criticism of the war in Iraq.

Then, we turn to the issue that has sparked an intense, emotional debate nationwide: Illegal Immigration. With us, three Members of Congress with different views on the issue: Rep. Henry Bonilla (R-TX), Democratic Caucus Immigration Task Force Chair Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), and Rep. J.D. Hayworth, (R-AZ), author of "Whatever It Takes: Illegal Immigration, Border Security and the War on Terror" -- only on "Meet the Press."

1. regarding leak case
Edited on Sun Apr-09-06 07:22 AM by radfringe
count how many times Russert uses the term "crass politics"

meanwhile about the timeline for the leak - according to the news reports - Libby blabbed 10 days before the NIE was 'released'

scottie-dog spent alot of time making the point about the difference between 'de-classified' and 'released'

so the spin is - it was ok for Libby to blab because the info was 'de-classied' but not released

but it does not clear Libby (and others yet to be named) from disclosing Plame's identity - which is at the heart of the matter

Anyone know what Libby's clearance status is? is it high enough where he could have found out Plame's identity independent of bush*/cheney telling him about it? if not - then he got the info from someone higher....

the other part of the spin is that when bush leaks info - it means the info has been 'de-classified' -- following that logic and assuming Libby was told about it by bush*/cheney - that means Plame's identity was 'declassified' at the time bush*/cheney told Libby and it was ok for him to blab to Miller/Novak/Cooper. If so, then no 'crime' was committed -- so why the investigation into leaks? Why was bush* "upset" and vowed to fire leakers if the NIE report/Plame's identity had been declassifed?

yeah - it stinks worse than a barrel of catfish decomposing in the hot texas sun in August

4. Russert highlighting Kerry's "flip-flopping"
As much as I worked on the Kerry campaign and regret with my soul that an evil chimp is seating where JK should be sitting, I hope Kerry does not win the nomination again in 2008. Even though there should be no problem with his adjusting views, the rightwing spin machine would be unrelentless in using that against him. They have already permanently tagged him as a vascillator against "steadfast", as if adjusting your views as new information unfolds is a bad thing. The same way they made liberal a bad word.

5. Kerry "profoundly" regrets his IWR vote.
At least that's finally settled.

6. Don't forget that Russet Potatoe head
was sitting there on tv GRILLING many others about the Plame OUTING while being dragged to testify in front of the Grand Jury HIMSELF..

Timmy and Novak were having quite a little lovefest over this subject in one interview, total FARCE, considering that BOTH Of them are most probably guilty of treason by my book.

I hope Kerry leans on the little shit, and mentions TIMMY'S LYING about the Plame outing.
