Who is going to Crawford this week?
Oh I am starting to get so excited. It will be great to see those of you I met in August and wonderful to make some new friends. So who will be there?

I am coming with my 22 year old son. I am bringing my orange chair and I have a US flag I will attach to it. I also have a DU bumper sticker I am going to put somewhere. (How convenient that it just arrived in yesterday's mail!) So please look for me and say hello. We will be there Wed thru Fri or Sat. I hate to miss the wonderful Easter Sunday program, but we have an all day drive home.

I also want to thank whoever put the idea up about putting anti war sayings on toy soldiers and leaving them in public places, like stores and restaurants. I have spent months looking for those toy soldiers. I even went into WalMart (yuck) looking for them. I had concluded that the stores here must have decided it was not politically correct to sell toy soldiers during a time of war. Then finally, just yesterday, I found some! They were at a Dollar Tree store. I bought 4 bags of them and will be bringing them to Crawford, so if anyone else who will be in Crawford wants to do this toy soldier idea, find me and I will give you some toy soldiers. Here are the sayings I have been putting on them:

BRING ME HOME ALIVE
END THE WAR IN IRAQ
SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS
I WANT TO COME HOME
WHERE IS OSAMA?
IMPEACH BUSH
WILL I BE GOING TO IRAN NEXT?
WHO WOULD JESUS KILL?

On the back, I put this website address: http://icasualties.org/oif/

Please either reply or PM me if you are going to Crawford.

And everyone, have a safe trip!!

Peace!! :hi:

1. Again, I'll be there "electronically"
I hope everyone takes lots of pictures again for those of us who can't be there! Even from afar it was a moving, life-changing event. Hope the weather is cooler this time around.

Oh, if you run out, here's a link for little army men from the artists who started it all:

4. 500 soldiers for $30.
One would have to buy five packages of 500 to have enough to place one for each of our soldiers lost in this war. I calculate that if you allow 3 inches for each plastic soldier, the line would be 585 and a half feet long.

7. A football field is 360 feet.

A soldier in each three inches of space, running the length of one and two thirds the length of a football field might get people's attention.
