Bush is obsessed on what is happening in Iraq... |
|
If truth be known, this entire "nuclear bomb" threat against Iran is directly connected to the present failure in Iraq. Ayatollah Sistani was born in Iran. Most of the Shias are supportive of Iran. Bush believes, perhaps rightfully so, that Iran is behind most of the bombings and destruction that is tearing Iraq apart. Iran is finally winning the war against Iraq with the assistance of George W Bush and the US military. Who could ever have guessed?
Both Iraq and Iran lost hundreds of thousands of lives in their war in the late 80's. At that time, we supported Saddam with military intelligence and satelite photos to help him fight the Iranians. The present Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, met with him personally to discuss options.
And now, the Iranians are on the verge of winning the war they started, or Saddam started, many years ago. We have Saddam in jail and are the only defense that the Iraqi people have to prevent a takeover by the Iranian Shiite coalition. That is the worst nightmare for George W Bush. So what does he do?
He threatens Iran with nuclear annihilation. Just the talk of dropping a nuclear bomb on another nation is so irresponsible and dangerous that we should should question the sanity of those that even discuss such options. But Bush sees the writing on the wall. He is a defeated leader at this time. There may be no resolution to this war by the time he leaves in 2008. And he blames Iran.

Kentuck. I am very much afraid that you are right. W is apparently so obsessed with leaving a legacy that he doesn't care whom he kills or when or how. We have to hound our Congress; they must get rid of him.
