Karl Rove's Blunder
<snips>
It is said only in hushed tones and not by anybody of prominence, but a few brave souls in the Bush administration admit it. President Bush's Medicare drug benefit that went into effect Jan. 1 looks like a political blunder of far-reaching consequences. Furthermore, these critics assign major responsibility to Karl Rove.

1. We're going to be dealing with and cleaning up Rove's "blunders"
for decades to come, I'm afraid.

4. At least 3 or 4 if Alito is confirmed - b/w he and Roberts, we're likely
to be sunk.

7. For the sake of America, Rove needs to be placed in solitary
confinement for life with no means of communicating out.

3. Novakula wrote this!
I'm rather surprised that he's not toeing the rw line on this. Of course, it is obvious that the drug benefit for seniors is a nightmare and one that will get a lot of seniors voting against the repukes, but it is odd that Novakula would be so pessimistic about repuke chances-or is this rat jumping ship?

10. Maybe NoFacts has to pay full price for his depression meds.
}(

He knows Rove is in deep doo-doo re: Plame so maybe the vultures are starting to circle KKKarl.

5. The basic idea of a drug plan is a good thing.
The problem is the Pubs had to screw it up by trying to make it look good to the public, while giving the greater benefit to the drug and insurance conpanies instead.

It doesn't surprise me if this is a Rove plan, but I doubt it was his alone. I think people give Rove far too much credi...much more than he deserves! He's a MASTER at deceipt and underhanded tactics, but a bit short on ideas.

6. So the knives are finally coming out for KKKarl.
Interesting. They are trying to get him on incomptence before his indictment comes down. Hmmm, wondeer if KKKarl will even be in the WH when his indictment comes around. Leaking this to Novakula is very interesting.

These guys can't govern. That what it comes down to. They want to declare war, make money for their friends and that's about it. And now the knives are out for KKKarl at long last. This is gonna get good.

9. Why would a political strategist be planning our prescription drug plan?
It's not just about power, is it?

Is it?

11. This story by super suckup Nofacts suggests to me that
the WH (Andy Card) has planted this story. Looks like an attempt to begin the spin to help distance Bush from Rove.

In other words, they must know he is going to be indicted.
