I know he died and I have been dreading the show that tackles this but you should have posted a warning for left coasters who have 2 wait another 3 hours before we see it.

9. I am in tears but not so much over "Leo" |
|
Both Vinnick and Santos are heads and shoulders (several times) over what we are stuck with for the next 3 years.
Rest in peace John Spencer/Leo and great job cast of West Wing.
Personally I'd laugh my butt off if Santos considers Vinnick as VP.

11. I'm too irritated by the |
|
electoral map flight of fancy to mourn Leo/Spencer. They have California, Vermont and Maine going repub and Texas going dem. I don't care that Vinick is from Cal and Santos is from Texas. Neither of those states would vote that way even for a "favorite son", and no way would Vermont vote repub.

12. actually Vermont was one of the most Republican states |
|
in the Union. It voted Republican throughout the 1930's and 1940's. I think a pro choice moderate could easily win Vermont against a Hispanic. Conversely the Texas and California results make some sense too.

16. As moderate as Vinnick was, it's not a stretch for me either |

Nothing really surprised me except for the close call in Nevada.
and I was  all the way through it. Will be  next Sunday, too.

Yes I know Vermont's history- rather well, as a matter of fact. I've lived here for over two decades. You're wrong about Vermont going for a pro choice moderate repub for President today. And you're wrong if you think that a liberal Hispanic wouldn't win over such a candidate. In 1988 Jesse Jackson did incredibly well in the primary here, even in the Northeast Kingdom, the most conservative part of the state. Vermont may well be the most liberal state in the country. If not, it's close to it. This is not the Vermont of the 1930s or '40s.

I don't see it.
Since this is TV land, I'll go with him picking Vinnick. They would show what it means to be united and putting country ahead of party.
Sure, in real world it won't happen, but it would be nice to see two guys who like and respect each other, fought a good fight without in the trenches mud slinging, come together to unite and better the country.

She has the experience that would be necessary and she would have the stature to be the first woman VP after being the chief of staff.
I ran into friends on a walk after the show and we all celebrated the Santos victory.
Let's hope for as happy an election night in November.
