So, I told the clerk at the 7-11 that I wanted $5 worth of gas... |
...so he farted, and gave me a receipt.

6. A rather impressive fart then |
Juicy I'm imagining, but a really good store clerk would at least have pointed it toward your car.

7. Guy at church today who studies energy policy says it'll by $10 by 2010 |
Someone else said he'd read that a prominent social psychologist with a good track record for predictions says that $3/gallon is the psychological point at which most of society starts taking conservation and alternative feuls seriously. Problem is, I remember when people said that about $2 a gallon.

12. I wonder how long before people will have to move to afford commuting? |
And I wonder what that will do to the already shaky housing market?

13. Back when I lived in California, the High Desert , Victorville, |
people bought in the area because they could get more house for their money. They commuted to jobs "down the hill", San Bernardino, Orange Country and farther. I bet those people are crying big time over the price of gas. My brother lives in Victorville but works in Lucerne Valley. His commute is approx. 70 miles round trip, his wife works for San Bernardino County and drives up to Big Bear, also. Their gas bill is killing them.
