"They fight us hard, they are a determined enemy, but there's no morality"
US Commander in Iraq about insurgents:

"They fight us hard, they are a determined enemy," Del Gaudio said. "But there is no morality there. They hide among the population, among families, women and children. That's how they fight. That's how they do what they do."

Real hit piece by CNN. What the fuck does Capt. Del Gaudio expect insurgents to do? Come out and fight them in the open.

THESE ARE IRAQIS YOU ARE FIGHTING, OF COURSE THEY'RE HIDING IN THE POPULATION.

THEY ARE THE POPULATION!!!

When they talked about our own revolution. Hopefully he catches up on his reading, real quick.

An insurgent doesn't have to win, just doesn't have to LOSE.

4. Morality? oh that's right
The Americans have the moral high ground. They just had the creep that tortured the Iraqi general to death on tv. Now that's morality!

6. I've never heard of Del Gaudio, but I despise him.
He's as clueless as this admin.
"They" who are fighting hard are now Iraqis, not the Taliban from Afghanistan. And no morality? Where is our morality, Del Gaudio?

8. But they are people fighting to repel the occupiers
They are not fucking soldiers.
Just get the fuck out
And stop whinning about morality
They not fighting for pay
So really why talk about determination

Soldiers need an enemy clear enemies
When they percieve that everybody is an enemies like Vietnam and now Iraq
Fuck happen
The more innocents you kill the more people will fight
So where this road headed

10. You're on to something. Read the article, it soundsl like they think
everyone is an enemy.

They presume all who watch them are watching to learn their tactics.

13. They are not wrong
The US soldiers are in hostile territories.
I dont doubt for an instant that they will kill the troops given half the chance
Why need green zone?
What need big uber concrete bomb proof wall?
What need uber bus call Rhino to move around?

Are this all signs of a liberated country?

A conquered country yes
Maybe 100 years from now all pacified
But I doubt it will be so
Look at Isreal Palestine problems
Already how long
And they move hell of a lot of people there
NO SIR
Posting to Iraq will be a one way ticket to grave in future for many US soldiers for years and years if US want to stay
Soldiers dying so someone can make money
Nothing about freedom liberty or democracy here
Just plain profit on the lifes of soldiers
Paid for by US citizens
For the uber rich Americans

9. Just as the American Revolutionaries did.
They were pilloried for 'not wearing uniforms' and 'hiding amongst the women and children'.

They had no central factory for uniform production, and they were 'hiding' in the homes of their wives and children.....

... oh, yeah - they used guerrilla tactics as well.

It was considered 'barbaric' by the British.

11. Safely launching a cruise missile from the high moral ground of a B-52
targetting a sleeping Baghdad at 2am is sooo much better. Morality? Watching as the Iraqis looted their country, evidently using white phosphorous in Fallujah, ABU GRAIB and the recent attack in Haditha are just some examples of our moral behavior.

I respect our brave soldiers for the difficult job they do, but will not support those who would debase the Iraqi people because the Iraqis are opposed to our occupation and fight with the only weapons at their disposal.

12. Hmmm. Reminds me of a scrimmage a few centuries ago...
Some people had seen these flanks of troops, lined up in their posh red coats marching down the streets.

They fought and shot back from angles that the King would have made similar whines and rants about too...

Not that I'm paralleling American Independence to the Failed Fracus of Iraq, of course...
