"For a liberal, Joe Lieberman isn't a bad guy, really."

Do read this, gentle reader. You won't find many better examples of living (and writing) in some kind of alternate reality.

====

Joe Lieberman, on Meet the Press, on August 31st, 2003, said that Bill Clinton strengthened the military. Let's see. That would explain why during his (Clinton's) two terms, there was a mass exodus of trained soldiers, from the lowest ranks to the top staffs, that looked like people leaving the World Trade Center buildings after the airplanes hit. Note: Shameless.

Did you know that Bill Clinton reduced the size of government? I didn't either. In fact, I still don't. In sixty-two years, I have never seen a Democrat do anything but the exact opposite of that, so when the Democrats and their lapdog media (ABC, the New York Times, etc.) tells me that a Democrat has done just that, it does not ring true. But what I have been able to determine is that he dramatically reduced the size of part of our government -- our armed forces. During his two terms, bases closed like banks after the Crash of '29. Since bases are where they keep the full time soldiers, that means the number of Americans in full time uniform went down. This seems to be backed up by the fact that all you hear about in the news from Iraq is that the soldiers we sent there are in the National Guard, and hadn't expected to be there so long....

It would explain why Saddam joined with terrorists, and helped them plan the second attack that brought down those World Trade Center buildings. By 911, George Bush II hadn't been in office long enough or done anything to Moslems to cause that. Besides, the Arabs who planned the second WTC attack were in America before Bush II was elected -- living here and planning the operation. The only Bush they knew of was the first President Bush, the one who had attacked -- are you ready for this? -- Saddam Hussein's forces in Kuwait in 1992.

It's fun, isn't it? Like solving a mystery crime. What was it the libs said after 911? Bush failed to "connect the dots." That was it. Funny that they haven't connected the dots outlined above. Missiles dropping on downtown Baghdad make great big dots. Those dots connect 911 to Clinton. For a liberal, Joe Lieberman isn't a bad guy, really. If our choice is him or Howard "Fifth Column" Dean, the selection is easy.. Life is about clubs and mountain men. If you are honest, and belong to a club, sooner or later you will have to suffer pangs of conscience. You will have to say or do something you don't feel right about to remain in good standing with the club.

4. This reminds me of a story of a co-worker
who I actually like, but disagree with politically and he is really one of the few of those people that I even tolerate a little - although since the 2004 election I have had very little contact with him. So he votes for Bush in 2000 - gives me a ration of shit about the fact that Bush indeed did win Florida - about two to three years into the first term my friend slowly starts to admit that Bush is a jerk and when it comes to the 2004 election I BEG HIM NOT TO VOTE FOR BUSH - I MEAN I BEGGED HIM OVER AND OVER I said even if you don't vote - and he is in Texas and his vote could make no difference but because I like him it would literally break my heart to have him vote for Bush - so I think I have him convinced just not to vote - and he says man if you guys could have just nominated someone else - I just can't vote for Kerry and I said well what Dem could you have voted for and his answer - any guesses - yes that's right boys and girls Holy Joe Lieberman - and I laughed so hard I cried - in the end he did vote for Bush and he did break my heart

5. Lieberman is a disgrace...
He lives in la la land. For all his religiosity, he certainly revels in the blood of war. What a fool.

6. And he gets his panties in a wad over VIDEOGAMES???
At least no one dies in real life in GTA vs. real life wars that Lieberman doesn't seem to have any moral objection to

8. the way he whines when he speaks makes me cringe
I want to slap the man. I can truly say that is the ONLY thing good that came of the coup of 2000. Loserman wasn't the Veep and we didn't have to look at him all the time. Slimy little man.
