2. I can't recommend any books ..
but CSM has a great research tool. It may point you in the right direction.
http://www.csmonitor.com/specials/neocon/index.html?s=spusa

It includes:
Neocon 101
Key Figures
Timeline
List of think tanks, periodical, etc.

Good luck with your paper!

Both are good sources.

5. Review these:
http://www.uregina.ca/arts/CRC/ This is the home page of Shadia Drury, who wrote a number of books about Strauss and the Neocons

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article5010.htm This is a good article on Strauss.

I hope they help.

6. I know there was a book about the Global Gag rule called
Breaking the Silence: The Global Gag Rule's Impact on Unsafe Abortion -- haven't read it, and don't know if it factors in Bolton in particular.

7. Also, the authors
who wrote the recent article/working paper on the The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, of which a shorter version, Israeli Lobby, is here: http://www.lrb.co.uk/v28/n06/mear01_.html have a couple of books out that might pertain to what you're researching.

John Mearsheimer is the Wendell Harrison Professor of Political Science at Chicago, and the author of The Tragedy of Great Power Politics.

Stephen Walt is the Robert and Renee Belfer Professor of International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. His most recent book is Taming American Power: The Global Response to US Primacy.
