I mean the War on Terra! I am so confused!

Don't you like how the news reports conflate the two so well for the chimp?

Bush To Give Another War On Terror Speech Today

http://www.wxii12.com/news/8589576/detail.html

WHITE HOUSE -- President George W. Bush will give another war on terror speech today, with his poll numbers for handling the war at an all-time low.

The president speaks to a Johns Hopkins University crowd in Washington, a day after the third anniversary of Baghdad's fall.

An Associated Press-Ipsos poll showed just 40 percent approval for his handling of the war on terror. The number dips to 35 percent for his handling of Iraq.

One GOP pollster called the overall approval numbers "scary."

The president told a North Carolina audience last week the United States has a multi-pronged strategy for victory in Iraq. And he said that victory would make America safer.

2. Andrea Mitchell on Imus
delivering the message: "Hersch is lying"

used Jonathan Alter as a reference, Hersch is lying!

The fax machine is working overtime.....

I tuned in deliberately to see what the WH spin was this morning....watch for flubya Dubya to "imply" that Hersch is lying in his speech today...look for emphasis on "diplomacy"...(you know that "fancy stripped pants stuff" that Dubya loves so much) <sarcasm off>

5. I missed that; has Alter said Hersch is lying, or was
Mitchell taking more liberties with the facts?

8. Actually it was Imus
who paraphrased Alter...something like "basically Alter said he was lying"...Andrea replied "right".

3. "One GOP pollster called the overall approval numbers 'scary.'"
That's what the "GOP pollster" finds "scary?" It's the policies themselves that are scary--to any loyal American, anyway (And I guess no "GOP pollster" would fall into that category).

4. Leaky1
"SOME would say the president shouldn't leak, leak information, be a, you know, be a leaker, heh. Heh. But if leaking, no, REVEALING information, de-classificationalizin' it, makes a stronger case for war, what harm can it cause?" (shrugs, squints, races off stage)

6. Does Bush actually do any WORK anymore?
It seems like he just keeps giving the same speech day after day. And all of the MSM will be carrying it live.
