If this was the Nixon era just as Watergate

began and all the hype about The VP Spiro Agnew's corrupt dealings,,given the MSM of today and the Republican Spin machine Agnew would have remained as VP,Nixon would have served out his term and all those White House aids would have been spared the disgrace.....Yep Could you imagine how Faux News would have spun the Nixon story?

1. The same thing has to happen now as happened then

It was the Republican leadership that got rid of Agnew. It was the Republican leadership that got rid of Nixon. They went to the White House and told Dick the jig was up. The Dems couldn't do it then and they can't do it now.

2. The Demcrats had control of both the House and the Senate

during that era..However the Republicans in Congress were also in favor of impeachment. What I'm saying is I guess is that given the way the media and the Republicans spin Bush's illegal actions, what would this same media do with the Nixon unlawful acts..
Democrats need to review History..with all the hearings and legal actions taken by the 93rd & 94th congress,they still maintained their majority and won the White House..Our Democratic leaders today are afraid of such bold actions.( But....they seem to be showing a little more courage lately)
