Has anyone seen this UCC commercial, or is it local?
For the past several days a commercial has been running in our area put out by the United Church of Christ. It shows people sitting in the pews of a Church; first a mixed racial couple, then a gay couple, then someone of middle-Eastern descent, a handicapped person, and a homeless woman. In the commercial, they flash on the mixed racial couple and then they are catapaulted our of their seats up into the air. Then the gay couple...sproing! and so on. The funniest one is the handicapped old guy flying up into the air with his walker.

All it says at the end, after people have been flying out of the pews (with the sproing sound effect), is that the United Church of Christ does not reject anyone--please join us. Then it gives the address for our local church. The commercials are hillarious!!

1. Running in your area?
Where do you live? UCC has been trying to air that commercial; it was rejected by CBS and NBC. If they were able to get it on the air then WHOOHOO!

4. Fox Valley, just South of Green Bay WI
but it was aired repeatedly on the National Geographic channel with our local church listed as the sponser (Appleton, WI), a formerly RED area that is now purple. I think, but cannot confirm, that it ran on one of the network channels also, because we saw it at least five times this weekend. You can't help but watch it because of the sound effects, it's very funny.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Church_of_Christ

Seems to be an American thingy : don't think they've got a UK branch.

I'm waiting for a Church of American Old Time Traditional Music to start up. Please advise if you spot one.

6. I've seen it twice,
but I saw it on national cable/satellite channels. I've forgotten which ones. It is quite shocking because it begins with a baby being catapulted through the roof for crying, then goes on from there. If you are paying any attention to your TV, it certainly grabs your attention.
