We can't count on free elections.
The only sure way to take back our country is for millions to march on DC. Anything less than overwhelming numbers will be ignored. We need a Multi-Million Man March.

1. hope your little revolution goes well.
meanwhile, I and millions of others will be volunteering in any of the thousands of currently ongoing campaigns. Something you should try one day.

4. Wow, that's the most condescending thing I have read all day
and typifies why it is virtually impossible to have a real conversation around here.

I would like to point out, though, that it is quite possible to work day-to-day on specific issues and campaigns, and still recognize that a country-wide general strike may be the only way our deMOCKracy can be saved. Considering the constitutional remedies for citizens against the governament are broken (e.g. our corrupt elections system, the fact that very few of our Congressional Representatives and Senators actually represent the people), it may be necessary to cross some lines, take some risks, and work outside of the system to fix the deeply rooted problems in our country.

There is more than one way to solve a problem. Just because one person thinks differently from another about the methods doesn't mean they can't both work for the same goals.

Peace.

6. oh yeah, it's so typical of how conversations here are
one person says, "hey, let's organize a multi-million man march because doing campaign work sure won't win any elections," and another person says "hey, let's try doing campaign work first."

And by the way-- has anyone been paying attention lately? In my city alone, there are expected to be 100,000 demonstrators marching for real immigration reform, and there are other marches scheduled in 120 cities nationwide.

3. Could you replace the word 'man' with 'citizen'?
Just saying
