what are the chances of us getting the house or senate back in nov? |
|
how is that shaping up? do we have a good chance? are the voting issues going to be at least somewhat under control? could we possibly get the majority in BOTH the house and the senate?

5. why some here still want verified vote machines? |
|
Paper ballots hand counted make so much more sense, and cheaper.
any here defend the odd idea of Paper verified diebold machines?

2. Directly proportional to the integrity of the elections in any given place |
|
As a guess, I would suggest the more crucial the contest, the greater the likelihood of fraud of one sort or another.

3. House-good; Senate-slim, but possible. |
|
We need a net gain of six senate seats. That means winning all the real up-for-grabs seats plus one or two Repub. safe seats while losing none.

And not because of ballot box rigging - it has a lot more to do with gerrymandering and simply the number of vulnerable seats open this year. This growing tide of disdain for the current administration and Congress has to continue swelling for us to have a chance.
Unfortunately, even though polls suggest an upwards of 16 points in favor of Dems right now, people are still inclined to vote for their incumbent. The attitude is that everyone sucks EXCEPT my guy.
We will make gains this November, no doubt. And 2008 provides us with a HUGE opportunity in the Senate, when a lot of the 2002 class that won on Bush's coattails comes up for re-election. I think we creep back to dead-even status this year, and take the whole thing back in 2008. There's a chance we could still take power back right now, but it's a small one.

6. Union locals can buy radio stations for AAR , to swell the tide for us |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 10:23 AM by oscar111
IBEW local bought KUDO anchorage, for one hun. sixty thou.
AAR is the key to our growth.
it takes hours of talk to deprogram the folks out there.
see my journal for IBEW sale/purchase of KUDO
Union HQ's seem to be all asleep,,, but locals can act on their own, like IBEW anchorage alaska.
