America! Brace yourself for some terra!
Many times since 911, whenever the Bush gang faltered, posters in DU invariably observed that another LIHOP is coming so as to rally the country behind the monkey again. The leak scandal, combined with the civil war in iraq, monkey's poor ratings, and everything else that seems to be hitting the white house at the same time, makes this the ideal moment to pull off another LIHOP. these are desperate times for the Bush gang. and as we all know, the monkey and his trainers are psychos.
watch your back.

1. Yes time and time again we've read some here
Predicting LIHOP or MIHOP as inevitable. Surely this problem is so bad that it warrents, nay, requires LIHOP to be inflicted on us once more.

Most of these predictions did not actually come to pass, a fact which does not seem to have dampened the enthusiasm of the prognosticators.

2. I don't think so, because it's already been so bad that they would have
done it already.

I am more inclined to agree with Sy Hersh who said on CNN yesterday that bush is "Messianic" in his zeal
to do whatever he pleases; that bush is beyond worrying about what the public or his own party thinks
about him; that he is looking to do god's work and solidify his spot in history by destroying Iran (something
he knows other politicians won't do).

When you've got that kind of thinking going for you you hardly need a LIHOP terra attack to justify your
actions/reactions.

3. Will this ploy continue to work?
Or will people begin to blame *Co for allowing a terra threat in the first place. Too much to hope that all Americans will realize they have cried wolf one too many times. Cheney did say that if Kerry were to be elected we would be attacked again. So we shouldn't expect another attack since *Co is protecting us. :sarcasm: To date, *Co has been able to play this game both ways. Perhaps the viability of the threat message will go the way of the *Co approval rating.

4. it's the only way they can use their bunker buster nuke
If a dirty bomb goes off in the US they'll be able to bomb Iran with a tactical nuke. That's my concern.

5. If something happens, it will not be good for those in power. Period.
There's no easier way to get kicked out. And even our lazy dumbass doofuses in power, on both sides, who are now starting to see what's going on (with even repubs against the immigration issue, you know problems are massive), for a LIHOP to happen would unify ALL in congress. And this time, it won't be for the president. He's had 5 years to clean up alllllllllll of those problems deemed Clinton's fault.

5 fuckin' YEARS.

One little LIHOP and they will all be out. There is NO WAY, PERIOD, that Clinton or Dems can be blamed for any of it. Not this time.

So maybe we should hope something DOES happen.

7. This won't work, because Bush has passed the tipping point
At one time, most Americans thought Bush would protect them. But since Katrina, since his lying has been exposed, since the Iraq mess has further quagmired, that is no longer the case. If another "attack" came, no one would look to the idiot for protection, they'd BLAME him for NOT protecting us.

Of course, there is another scenerio for an intentional terra incident; Marshall Law and the Patriot Act. Don't put anything past these crazy mofos.
