Eleanor Clift made CRUCIAL but overlooked point on McLaughlin this weekend

During the discussion of Kerry's Iraq withdrawal plan she stated that the rest of the DC Democrats are close to getting to where Kerry is now. And expects them to eventually back his plan.

Should we make it an action this week to get them there SOONER with a massive call in and email campaign? I know MoveOn is doing one, but it couldn't hurt to act separately from MoveOn.

Letters to the Editor pushing for the withdrawal plan's ultimatum to the Iraqi leaders would be a good move, too, since many newspapers barely covered the actual plan and didn't cover its' details, and many papers will give RW hatchetmen like Ollie North plenty of space to attack Kerry and misrepresent his plan with the standard "cut and run" lie they always use.

Usually she disappoints. this weekend it was entertaining and on point.

2. One thing about Clift that bothers me is that her punditry is based TOO

much on Dem buzz and sometimes ignores the facts in favor of perception - this is one of the few times I appreciate "buzz" as a good thing.
