Bush: "I Knew Exactly What Was Going To Happen " In Iraq...
CNN | Posted April 10, 2006 12:20 PM

AP

Bush: And so to answer your question, yes, I hear the protests, and I can understand why. I can understand why people are concerned about war. Nobody likes war, particularly me.

I knew exactly what was going to happen when I committed these troops into harm's way. I knew there would be -- people would lose their life. I knew I would be trying to comfort mothers and fathers and grieving wives. I knew exactly what was coming. And if I didn't think it was the right thing to do, I wouldn't have sent them. And if I didn't think we would succeed in Iraq, I'd pull them out.

And the good thing about democracy is people can express themselves.

1. The good thing about real Democracies is the the people can
"express" themselves and have their votes counted. They can "express" themselves without reprisals from the government.

10. What a moron!!
He didn't know the Iraqi people would resist occupation. He thought they'd all be so overjoyed at Saddam being out of power that no one would notice when Paul Bremer (an American, I should remind everyone) rewrote Iraqi laws on foreign investment by decree.

He doesn't even know that this is what any reasonable and intelligent person would call imperialism.

He wants to reduce all protests to knee-jerk pacifism. I got news for him. A lot of that protest is from informed citizens who know more than he does.

11. Simply an arrogant sociopath.
If this was truely a democracy, the boy-king would be in the docket at the Hague explaining his war crimes to a tribunal.

15. But he told Pat Robertson "we're not going to have any casualities"
The Rev. Pat Robertson said President Bush dismissed his warning that the United States would suffer heavy casualties in Iraq and told the television evangelist just before the beginning of the war that "we're not going to have any casualties."

Robertson related the conversation during an interview with CNN late Tuesday. He said he spoke to Bush before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003 and urged him to prepare the nation for heavy casualties. While Bush's response was a mistake, Robertson said, God has blessed the president anyhow.

Bullshit! He'd be lucky if he could've even found it on a map and he's as clueless today as he was before he attacked it.

20. But I thought he said he listened to the "Generals On The Ground"

That always amazed me because he is suppose to be the Commander In Chief, but he won't send it more troopes until they tell him do.
