No, that's not a headline to run up DU replies. I really believe that Bush & Co. are cornered and that they will not hesitate to launch nuclear weapons at Iran (or elsewhere) to save their asses.

(If anyone here thinks that a nuclear attack is reasonable or justified, please speak with someone who is still sane.)

I won't even try to list the lies of Bush & Co. nor do I have to. You all know what they are. But this time around, these demented, power-mad people, are on the verge of destroying us all.

The most horrendous thing about this is that there's not one goddamn, fucking thing we can do to stop them. Seymour Hersh's comments aside, there are still enough maniacs who call themselves "patriots" who will follow orders and launch whatever it is in their ability to launch if so ordered.

And anyone who believes it will end there is a fool. Aside from us, the U.K., France, Russia, China, India, Israel, and Pakistan have nuclear weapons. Anyone who thinks you can prevent the use of nuclear weapons by bombing other people with "tactical nuclear weapons," belongs in a straight jacket with Bush and his handlers.

I'd really like to hear someone tell me how to head off this madness, but I don't think that's possible if these barbarians decide it is the only way to save their own asses. (Yeah, their bunkers are deep enough to let them survive for a while. And their mindlessness would actually help them believe that their temporary survival had any meaning or worth.)

Nonetheless, I'd like to hear your opinions on this. And please forgive me if I don't reply immediately. I may have been thinking too much. And sometimes, thinking thoughts like these makes you need to take a walk on the beach.

1. Don't worry...
Nuclear war will just destroy life faster than the inevitable global warming,
and BushInc will be responsible for both.

There ought to be a special place in hell for corporate assholes.

3. The two repukes that I still converse with
are the type that believe the USA is the greatest nation on the planet & see our part in world affairs with rose-colored glasses on. They are both ultra-pissed off that anyone had the audacity to do something on our soil & they want revenge. They both have a "you mess with the bull you get the horns" attitude. However, both are pretty sore with boosh at the moment. However, if he were to nuke Iran, they would be behind him stronger than ever, of that I'm sure.

As for me, I think bushco is just itching to nuke someone.

4. As crazy as Bush is ...
There are saner people in positions of power near him. He's also there for a specific purpose for TPTB and that's not to barbecue the earth.

If the Shrub ever got wood to use nukes, there would be a military coup, I'm fairly certain. They'd never tell us (their supposed bosses) it was a military coup -- we'd hear that the President was "Taken Ill" and had to be "hospitalized" (probably in the wrap-around dinner jacket, but that's another matter).

7. I too had faith ( and sometimes it shines again) but so many things
have happened that show these guys and girls(we know the ones) don't really think of saving anything or anyone. They have revenge, greed or reshaping the world in their image on the minds.

I do pray you are seeing a true picture. I think we should get behind Russ Feingold,Patrick Fitzgerald, Helen Thomas, Cynthia McKinney(who was short stopped),Howard Dean, Cindy Sheehan, and the ones who have not strayed from their duty to help justice prevail.

Thanks for you insight. Let's not vote without verification! That will happen if there is an board of integrity out there.

5. If we attack Iran, it better be a FULL ON assault that completely destroys

thier military counter-measures.

The reason I say this, is because Iran has their hands on an anti-ship missle that could destroy our Navy in the Gulf region. If we attack, then Iran is fully justified in defending itself, and they most likely will.

Read about it here: SS-N-22 Sunburn missle.

If Bush does attack Iran, he better not fuck it up (he most likely will), or else the USA is going to be up shit creek without a Navy.

6. Earth will shake us off like a dog shakes off fleas.
Leave one bacterium alive, and thanks to cosmic rays, a whole new ecology will come to life.

Give it a few million years. Remember that the Dinosaurs have only been gone for 75 million years and life has been cookin' for almost 50 times that long.

Of course, our decendants will be atoms in the mantle by then. Our fossils will not even be radioactive anymore by then.

8. We should really explain this to Bush's "born again" science advisers.
Who knows, one or more of them might get it.

Then again, would any of them have the courage to explain it to Bush? We're talking about people who would swear that Galileo was nuts if they thought if would please their lord and master.

And we really believed the "dark ages" were over???
