George W. Bush on the lessons learned in Iraq

During a talk today at Johns Hopkins University, the president of the United States was asked to share with aspiring policymakers "some wisdom or some insight" based on his experience with the "very difficult decisions on the use of force and engaging in war."

This is how he responded:

"Thanks for the question. I would encourage those of you studying here to be a part of policymaking for our government. It's -- it is a high honor to serve your country. And my first advice is, never use force until you've exhausted all diplomacy. I -- my second advice is, if you ever put anybody in harm's way, make sure they have got all the support of the government. My third advice is, don't make decisions on polls. Stand your ground if you think what you're doing <is> right...."

3. Or you hit your target date.
I can't stand the smirker and his piling lies on top of lies. He doesn't have a clue about stopping war, only getting it going. He's the war preznut, ya know. Bullshit maker is more like it.

4. I wouldn't trust him to define when it was "exhausted''
He showed us once how trigger-happy he can be.

5. He has no record of diplomacy
And I doubt he has the patience.

He's all about the "put your hands up or I'll shoot... POW" mentality.

6. France requested an additional 30 days of inspection and we denied it.
And because of this simple request, France was ridiculed by the right-wingers. 30 day extension. 30 days. Denied.

Does he think we don't remember? How about dismissing the millions of protesters as nothing more than a "focus group"?

7. I don't think he knows what diplomacy means!
Look at the idiot he nominated to be Ambassador to the UN! Mr. Diplomat himself!

I think I'll send an email to the WH and ask him to please define "diplomacy".

8. ha...haa...haaaa...haaaa!!!!!! Harry Reid said this, re: Bush tales, today
on Ed Schultz' show; something almost exactly like this:

whatever Bush says, believe exactly the opposite! it was with regard to that stupid response today at JH regarding to whom he declassified the NIE, saying he wanted "people" to see the whole thing, implying it was released to all, when the only ones who saw it were Cheney and Libby, plus whatever snips he'd already given to Woodward, Miller, and whomever else we don't know about

he really nailed him

excellent!
