Leaker in Chief can't answer the question

In an outrageous attempt to avoid a very important question about the private military security that is running around in Iraq, President Bush-well starts panting out of desperation and then said he needed to ask Rumsfeld. How can he not know the answer to this question? Even with the Iraq government in flux-he's the President.

3. I've never, ever heard him give an actual, coherent answer to
any question he's been asked. But then I haven't bothered to listen to him for a long time. He pisses me off and give me a headache....in other words, I can't afford to listen to him.

7. Oh. My. Fucking. God. That's The Most Disgraceful Presidential Clip Ever.
I don't believe that's real. Of all the things I've seen him do, of all the inadequacies, all of the failures, all of the moronic statements, all of his stupidity, dishonesty, spin and rhetoric, I still don't believe that's for real. My god. Just my god.

That was disgraceful. I'm shaking my head from side to side in disbelief. He's an impersonator unto himself, mocking himself as he's being himself. What a jackass. What an absolutely friggin jackass.

13. not even pretending anymore
I decided to watch the clip because of your post. OMG. The facial mugging. When he first calls on her, he is Mr. Nice (instead of his usual arrogant self) but as soon as he gets the gist of the question, the facial mugging begins. He makes that prune face as she elaborates. Then he starts with his joke and the hehhuhhehhuh business. When I watched, I felt the wheels were flying off the cart. He doesn't even care to pretend he's in charge anymore.

He says he'll call up Rumsfeld and ask her "valid" question. Toward the end of her question, the narcissist turns the subject back to himself. You can see he starts to elaborate about this is just the kinda' guy he is but he cuts himself off, probably because he's been slapped upside the head and re-programmed because of his low popularity ratings.

This man is such an effing idiot.

12. I love the "it's how I work" line. It reveals so much about him.
He's proud of what he's said and how he said it.

He says "it's how I work" gloatingly.

It never would occur to him to make a powerful statement like "Those contracters must follow the laws of the land or be prosecuted, and the US military will assist in bringing them to justice if they break those laws."

Nope. That would be what an intelligent man with a little vision would say, and that's not how he works.

He doesn't care to have a say in it, he's just going to ask "the Secretary" how it's done, so he knows the answer. Once he knows the answer he figures his work is done.

18. Wow. Just, wow.
I cannot believe he couldn't answer that question. Well, maybe I can sorta... but really, it is inexcusable that the "Commander in Chief" could not answer a question like that. And his hemming and hawing and nervous giggling and attempted posturing ("that's how I work") is incredibly shameful and embarrassing.

21. Is the clip for real? Has anyone verified it?If true, raises many question
Edited on Tue Apr-11-06 05:43 AM by cassiepriam
Once again we have the dilemma, is the man stupid or lying?

Is it possible that he does not know there are private security forces in Iraq? And is it possible that he also does not know
that they operate under no law?

It is becoming more apparent that Bush must be very far out of the power loop. He knows nothing about anything. And he is proud of it,
all under he rubric of delegation. And if he has a question he "picks up the phone? With all due respect I think he might want to start picking up the phone a bit more.

Also I thought that he looked embarrassed and uncomfortable, and he was using what he hoped was his charm and humor to deflect the question. And it worked to some extent, the questioner and the audience were all laughing, and it made the question seem benign.

In the past there have been reports that when he gets these kind of questions he has erupted in anger. I wonder what he did backstage after this question.

And I also wonder why people are even being allowed to ask him these questions? From a PR standpoint it makes no sense. What is Rove thinking??

he was speaking before Johns Hopkins students yesterday.

That clip is nothing compared to his non answer and stumbling and bumbling when questioned about the Plame case.

28. I am suprised these questions are getting through too.
Maybe it is time to fire the screener? I can't believe the audience thought his response was cute and funny. Is it "hard work" to delegate? What exactly does he know or do?

31. Maybe they are deliberately letting him take the fall?
Something is weird with all the hard questions being allowed to come thru to Bush, not like Rove to let it happen. Unless Rove is going to let Bush take the fall for him too.

I know, the audience laughing was strange wasn't it?

Bush knows nothing and he spends most of his time riding his bike and playing video games. And drinking.
