British Officer compares U.S. To Nazi Germany
This is an interesting article. It may not be a U.S. officer, but for someone in the armed forces to compare the U.S. attack on Iraq to Nazi Germany, seems fairly significant. Here's a bit of the article and a link.

ALDERSHOT (Reuters) - A British Air Force doctor on trial for refusing to go to Iraq because he thought the war was illegal said on Wednesday he believed the United States was the moral equivalent of Nazi Germany.

Australian-born Flight Lieutenant Malcolm Kendall-Smith could face an unlimited jail sentence for disobeying an order to go to Iraq last year and four orders to prepare for his deployment, in the first British case of its kind.

"As early as 2004 I regarded the United States to be on a par with Nazi Germany as regards its activities in the Gulf," he told the court.

Prosecutor David Perry asked: "Are you saying the U.S. is the moral equivalent of the Third Reich?" to which Kendall-Smith replied "That's correct."

1. Similar you must admit
Hitler started a war of agression under false pretenses.
As did Bush.
Hitler used the media to critisize his detractors as not patriotic.
As did Bush
Hitler ultimatly lost the support of country and the support of his people.
As Bush is doing now
Hitler will forever be a demon in history.
As will Bush.

2. It goes deeper than that.
Bush believes, as his whole family does, in racial purity and the extermination of inferior peoples.

They supported Hitler. They never reformed.

3. You have no evidence whatsoever
to support that. For someone who jumped all over me for posting something that Joseph Cirinione actually said on C-Span this morning, you seem to have no qualms whatsoever about posting things for which you either have no evidence or use "little birds" as sources. That's richly ironic. I can't stand bush, and I have no use for the rest of his family, but to state that they wish the extermination of "inferior peoples" is just baloney. Saying they supported Hitler is not proof. It is accurate to say that the bush's profited from Hitler and the war, but that's about it.

I can find far more evidence refuting your claim than you can find for supporting it. For instance, bushco has placed people of color into high ranking positions. Rice has been a long time advisor, pre dating the 2000 election, demonstrating that it wasn't just about political advantage. bush 1 served in WWII. No, I'm not defending the bushs. I'm defending truth.

9. I find your evidence for bush's intent to wipe out
"inferior races" about as convincing as freeper evidence for Bill and Hillary being mass murderers.

12. I would expect you to be unconvinced.
And I don't care.

Fortunately, most people can see the connections you refuse to acknowledge.

16. Thankfully, you're wrong.
Most people don't think skull and bones is some evil organisation, somehow connected with Hitler, that seeks to rule the world, and they don't believe a lot of the other conspiracy driven drivel either, just as most people don't believe the Clintons murdered Foster or Brown.

6. Actually, there is plenty of evidence.
Can you say "Eugenics?" Google it.

7. That is why I started calling Bush a Nazi in 1998.
And I have seen nothing since to cause me to regret that or change it.

8. That's not evidence that
bush wants to exterminate so called inferior races. By your standards, that also means all of the Rockefellers are guilty of the same. That includes the Senator from WV and those that financed NRDC. Don't forget that parts of the "left" was also invested in the Eugenics movement. Letting hate blind you, is not, IMO, the smartest way to operate.

11. Oh, please..."Letting hate blind you?"
Who said hate was blinding them but YOU? Hate doesn't blind me, but history informs me.

If parts of "the left" were involved in the Eugenics movement, why do you assume that means I'd give them a pass simply because they're "left?" Bad is bad, and it doesn't carry a party membership card.

From Prescott's financing of the Nazi war machine to GHW's involvement in the Eugenics movement, the Bush family has long demonstrated its contempt and disdain for those who don't share their beautiful lilly-whiteness.

13. Seems to me I have heard us being called "Bush Haters" somewhere else...
Oh yes! It was on that ugly-looking right wing board... What was it's name? FreakRethuglic I think it was.

15. Screw twisting remarks into something they aren't.
It's a petty and dishonest thing to do. I called no one a bush hater, and if I did, I'd have to include myself in that number. I said, essentially, that hate can cloud the lens we view things through, and distort our perceptions. It does so with people who hate the Clintons to the point of losing their objectivity and reason, and it happens to those who hate, albeit for better reason, the bush's.

14. elitist? Sure of their own superiority due to race and
history? Sure. Possessing a belief that "inferior races" should be exterminated? Not much in the way of evidence. The bush's of the 1940's were similar in their cupidity and sense of superiority to many families of equal background and standing. I'm not excusing them, I'm simply stating that I think there's a fair amount of blowing up aspects of their unsavory history to create a image that's more sinister than it actually is. The same could be done with the Kennedys.

Yes, bushco is the greatest danger facing the world today, but it's not because of his family having dabbled in eugenics or profited off of the Nazis, it's because he's a sentimental, meglomaniac, who thinks he was placed in the presidency by God. It's because he thinks that's he's charged with transforming the mideast into a "democracy".
