3. No, but I've got a funny story about it

A co-worker of mine who is Iranian likes to recall that day. He had lived in the US for about ten years and was watching the news with his Western wife when a clip of the mourners hitting themselves on the head came up. Watching the spectacle he mumbled to himself: "crazy Arabs...". His wife caught the remark and laughed, saying: "well I guess it's official, you're an American now".
