I hate CNN. They are DISGUSTING. BOYCOTT CNN forever.
Even if they change. I reviewed this again DEAN ISSUES SMACK DOWN ON WOLFIE

and then send them this:

Wolf Blitzer asked Howard Dean about Democrats taking money from Abramoff. Dean said the DNC did a thorough search and no money was taken. Blitzer continued to state this was the case but produced false evidence for ONE Senator-Dorgan who took money from an Indian Tribe that Abramoff represents, clearly not from Abramoff. BLITZER IS CARRYING THE REPUBLICAN WATER ON THIS. Your news is outrageous. Your guy Blitzer continued to lie and misrepresent WITHOUT FACTS. I stopped watching you when the Time guy took over and you turned right. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF WHAT YOU HAVE BECOME. I know Dan Schorr is ashamed of you. WHY DO YOU DO THIS. You struggle for viewers (as do all cable news groups, even Fox with 2.0 million total, please!). YOU KNOW WHY. BECAUSE YOU DON'T DO THE NEWS! YOU ARE PR FIRMS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND PEOPLE LIKE BLITZER LIE AND MISREPRESENT ON A REGULAR BASIS. SHAME ON CNN!!!

"Give us your feedback: Report Errors Seen on CNN

Just because we don't watch them, doesn't mean they've ceased to be slime. Let them know that we know!

7. Partial Transcript Here
BLITZER: Should Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, who has now pleaded guilty to bribery charges, among other charges, a Republican lobbyist in Washington, should the Democrat who took money from him give that money to charity or give it back?

DEAN: There are no Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, not one, not one single Democrat. Every person named in this scandal is a Republican. Every person under investigation is a Republican. Every person indicted is a Republican. This is a Republican finance scandal. There is no evidence that Jack Abramoff ever gave any Democrat any money. And we've looked through all of those FEC reports to make sure that's true.

BLITZER: But through various Abramoff-related organizations and outfits, a bunch of Democrats did take money that presumably originated with Jack Abramoff.

DEAN: That's not true either. There's no evidence for that either. There is no evidence...

BLITZER: What about Senator Byron Dorgan?

DEAN: Senator Byron Dorgan and some others took money from Indian tribes. They're not agents of Jack Abramoff. There's no evidence that I've seen that Jack Abramoff directed any contributions to Democrats. I know the Republican National Committee would like to get the Democrats involved in this. They're scared. They should be scared. They haven't told the truth. They have misled the American people. And now it appears they're stealing from Indian tribes. The Democrats are not involved in this.

BLITZER: Unfortunately Mr. Chairman, we got to leave it right there. Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic Party, always speaking out bluntly, candidly.

Thank you for the transcript.

Clearly he hates the English language. It's all there.

Wolfies' little sigh at the end. Dean was great. He looked pissed off, he acted pissed off, he stomped on Wolfie real hard when he had him down. I just thought CNN needs some real, down to earth feedback.

Q to CNN: At long last, have you no shalme?

56. Translation
"Schanda" is a shame, an embarassment.

"Schanda foer de goyim" literally means "embarassment in front of the gentiles." It means a Jew (or, really, a member of any group) who gives that group a bad name. Think of Stepin Fetchit, for example.

Then, there's Sean Hayes and Liberace, who are schanda foer de gayim.

57. that translation is better than I could have given
and I feel compelled to disclaim: I am not Jewish nor do I speak Yiddish. I picked this phrase up as one that Abbie Hoffman tossed at Judge Hoffman (no relation) during the Chicago 8 trial. Finding out what it meant, it struck me as capturing perfectly the disgust at the degree to which someone else is a shill or lackey for some party holding material power - and it doesn't even venture into the scatological the way the usual depictions of oral-anal contact do...

I have since hung onto it as a small treasure in my political vocabulary, and attempt to use it with respect, both for Abbie personally, and for the culture which could craft so trenchant and succinct a phrase. I feel gratitude when I apply it to some deserving subject.

8. I haven't watched CNN in a LONG TIME. Nor do I intend to EVER AGAIN!
They went from a platinum, world-class, world-respected news organization to a SICK WORTHLESS JOKE.

Now if I could somehow get CNN-International, I would watch that. But I have no idea where to find it. Don't think COX carries it and my condo only carries Cox cable. I'd pay for it if it was available.

If any fellow DUers know where it can be found, I'd be grateful if you'd share where it is at!

Since I started doing that, life is good. For other news, I have the Internet. If I happen to be in someone else's house and CNN or MSNBC is on, I'm amazed at how 'tabloid' it has become. It's not even worth e-mailing them. They don't rate a minute of time.

For Wolf Blitzer to ask that question (really pushing the propaganda) is unbelievable since it had been corrected so many times already.

He might learn how to use Google. That's what all non-journalists use, and we're way ahead of him. T

18. For all the good it'll do, I sent them this.
Mr. Blitzer makes a dubious claim to the role of journalist. Gov. Dean covered the lack of Democrat involvement in the Abramoff criminal activities rather well but neglected to add another important fact. Mr. Abramoff has publicly declared the Democratic party to be "the enemy" and has made no effort to hide his disdain for everything not Republican. Mr. Blitzer's interview with Gov. Dean yesterday was a transparent grab to maintain a slipping grasp on the Republican spin. Shame on him and shame on CNN for neglecting to report the truth. Our representative democracy requires a free and independent press. Sadly Mr. Blitzer's performance is not entirely unique. Where are our government watchdogs when we need them most? Clearly not at CNN.

but read Dean's comments.

He handled it well and explained that yes, a few Dems took money from the tribes, but no Dems took $ from him.

The simple fact is that Abramoff was a partisan hack, and always will be. Dems took no money from him. The problem is the misrepresentation by so called "credible" sources like the WaPost. I recall there was a chart, and it was very misleading. One might thing several Dems were as closely involved as DeLay or whomever else.

with Wolf Blitzer. Dean was very impressive. I believe the average asleep American will come away believing Howard Dean. He was succint, his points were well formulated and left no doubt that the Republicans owned the scandal with Abramoff hook, line and sinker.

I believe even the kool aide drinkers listening had to think...."damn, please oh please let a Democrat be investigated for this, and Blitzer you fool, you failed to do anything other than look like a shill for our side."

Blitzer's little sigh at the end said to me he was thinking....Gawd, this is going to take a lot more effort than I thought to tie the Democrats into this Republican/Abramoff payola scheme.

truly inspected the books thoroughly. Besides, Dean failed to mention that Abramoff has publicly proclaimed Democrats the enemy and villified them up oneside and down the other. I too think Joe Average might have perked up his ears. It's not often a politician makes such easily checked assertions so forcefully. That was a man sticking his neck and reputation on the line. Any idiot should be able to see that.
