Couldn't GWB Just Pardon Abramoff?
Seems like that would be a good strategy, wouldn't it? Tell Jack to shut up and he'll be pardoned when GWB is about to leave office.

Which would be more damaging to the Party? Abramoff's testimony, or a shady looking pardon?

1. It could happen
But I doubt it. If Abramoff hadn't talked so much already, it would have been a more likely option.

13. It would be too obvious
They're trying to distance himself now and it would be so obvious that he knew him.

4. He has a hard time with names...and faces....
he also claimed never to have met Mohammed Karsi (sp?), the hand picked Iragi insider who just happened to show up sitting behind Pickles at the State of the Union address a couple of years ago. 190+ visits to white house/staffers and he doesnt' remember him? Then the revolving door for laundered money drop offs must be whirling quite fast.

5. It would be seen has an abuse of power
Since these scandals involve so many people in his own administration. Usually, the next president pardons the people from the previous administration.

9. Can you say, "Impeachable abuse of power"?
Sure you can. Even though Pres pardon is unlimited, the people do not like it when it is used, let alone when it abused.

The real question is, how much further can these asshats push things before they are finally held to account. It is apparent that, from the very beginning, ChimpCo has been pushing issues to the extremes. They've just gotten away with everything so far. But, there will be a tipping point when they've pushed so far that things support will totally collapse. Given how far they've pushed things, one wonders when. It is all too apparent that we will likely find out, because these asshats are not going to stop.

14. Abramoff doesn't work for the government, so, that would be too much,
even for a fascist brainless moronic dictator.
