It's. Not. Over. Yet.
The world is a dangerous place. It's long been a dangerous place. One generation after another has forecast that this is it, this is where it all ends. Yet the world continues to hobble along. I always imagine that it's held together by the wispy prayers of some saintly hermit in a cave on some cloud shrouded mountain top. Amazing that we survive legions of terrible leaders and near catastophic wars.

bush is a threat to world stability. Hell, he's more than a threat. He's already destabilized the mideast. Now he threatens to do further damage.

But it's not the end of the world yet. And it's too early to bemoan our outcast state and curse deaf heaven.

I have faith that something will prevent bush from plunging the world into disaster. I'm not sure why or in what. I'm not a religious person. I suppose it's knowing that we've seen dark days before, and survived them.

All I'm saying is; let's not go overboard or work ourselves into hysterics. Or as my neighbor would say, don't put negative energy into it. I'm not suggesting we become pollyannaish, or ignore the hard realites, but let's not give up hope.

I believe we will survive bushco. I don't think the forces of greed and stupidity and religious delusion will prevail for much longer.

It's not over yet.

4. I am too numb after watching the last 5 + years unfold ...can't
get hysterical! Just when you think you've seen it all....no, I am with you. I think that somehow we will get our grand slam homer in the bottom of the 9th with two outs so that the good guys win. Just don't know how it is all going to play out...

Can't help it - I am a half full glass type of guy!

6. I think you're right. A lot of people voted for Shrub thinking he was
something he's not. Some because they though he was a religious man, some because they thought he was just a regular guy like them, some because he scared them to death! It sure is looking like whole lot of them are recognizing they were wrong! As his poll numbers continue to slump lower and lower, he will have a very small handfull of supporters left, and his Party will suffer right along side him!

7. No one says it quite like Black Sabbath
Thrill of it All

Inclination of direction, walk the turned and twisted rift
With the children of creation futuristic dreams we sift
Clutching violently we whisper with a liquefying cry
Any deadly final answers that are surely doomed to die

Won’t you help me mr. jesus, won’t you tell me if you can?
When you see this world we live in, do you still believe in man?
If my songs become my freedom, and my freedom turns to gold
Then I’ll ask the final question, if the answer could be sold

Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it
’cause I’ve got no reason to lie, yeah
Forget your problems that don’t even exist
And I’ll show you a way to get high, oh yeah
Oh yeah!

So come along, you know you matter to me
Remember freedom is not hard to find, yeah
Time to stop all your messing around
Don’t you think that I know my own mind, oh yeah
Oh yeah!

Why can’t you believe, it’s not here to perceive
Do you always have to be told, yeah
For you have been taught that if your mind has been bought
Life’s entire answer was sold, oh yeah
Oh yeah!

8. I think the wheels are coming off the BA
Their individual senses of preservation are all "turning at the same time"--like those leaves in that Scooty/Judy letter.

Prediction: they will now begin to eat themselves, and each other, alive.

We paid for our tickets--let's stay and watch the show.

11. It's a measure
of where the world is at the moment, that if I saw a thread entitled "Are we all doomed?", I'd need to give the matter some serious thought.
