Amy Goodman (Democracy Now!) interview of Seymour Hersch
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/04/12/1359254

Excerpt:

<i>AMY GOODMAN: Seymour Hersh, we will leave it there. I want to thank you very much for being with us. But let me ask you one last thing, and that is where we started, with President Bush's comments about your report, saying, ‘What you're reading is wild speculation, which is kind of, you know -- happens quite frequently in the nation's capital.’ Your response?

SEYMOUR HERSH: Well, he gave a speech at Johns Hopkins on Monday, that's one of his more remarkable speeches, not only because of his manner, which was a funny affectation -- he was hopping around, almost jocular. Forget what he said about me. It's what he said about Iraq that was very troubling to me. He once again said there's great progress, this is a wonderful thing we’re doing, I’m proud that we're doing it, we're bringing democracy. I have it in front of me, because I always carry it around. He said -- he compared this -- ‘This is an ideological struggle we're having with Iran that equates the best part of the Cold War, when we defeated the Russians.’ He's once again comparing this to the Cold War. He's once again saying that things are wonderful, that it's a noble enterprise. ‘Does anybody there read the newspapers?’ is what I wonder.

1. So Sorry I Missed Her Today... I Usually Always Watch But
had lots of yard work to do. My tomato plants got attacked by worms and now I'm going to have to figure out some way to spray "something" on them.

Tobacco juice maybe, but don't want to use CHEMICALS!

2. Seymour Hersch
Seems like this time around Seymour is getting a little more attention in the MSM. The report today on DN by Greg Palast on Hugo Chavez was enlightening as well.

ChiciB1, tobacco juice is a chemical! Bt might be a better option (but also not without consequences), if your "worms" are lepidoptera larvae like hornworms. If you don't have an acre of tomatoes just look for the frass on the ground to locate the worms and drop em ina bucket of soapy water. was that any help?

3. No, Not An Acre...
Having lived in Florida for a long time, I gave up on growing vegetables some time ago. What happened was I have 2 areas of compost. One a large area in back of my husbands huge work shop. But this year I made one in a very large tree container. Well about 15 tomato plants came up and I decided to let them grow! I was going to pluck them, but didn't. So now I have lots of tomatoes but noticed little holes on some of them. I knew what that meant. But these aren't the green horned ones, they're brown. So since I let them grow, I HAVE to save the tomatoes, right??

I grow a lot of ornamentals, trees and shrubbery and so I have my compost. Next year... no veggies! I found out long ago that the more you spray, the more little critters you have. Don't ask me why, but I rarely have problems with the other plants. I was told tobacco was good to use, with a little dish detergent. I did get a lot of them today, but stomped on them!

Way off the subject of DN though. I checked out the web site and got the info. I really enjoy Amy. Glad I have a Dish to watch on Link TV!

Tobacco is a chemical, I guess it is! Oh well, I already bought some at the grocery store, I don't smoke!
Thanks!
