CNN smearing John Conyers for ethics violations. |
|
He supposedly had his staffers watch his kids without the extra pay. Terrible! Isnt it? :sarcasm:

4. Well, if it breaks ethics violations, it breaks ethics violations. |
|
I saw the piece the other night. Frankly, it shocked me. If it's true, Conyers needs to pay for that, but the same piece also said Repubs and Dems came to a "truce" in 1998 to not punish each other for these violations, and it's largely held. The only folks who got in trouble and were removed now are those who broke the law, not ethics rules. (See DeLay and Cunningham)

5. Next will be Barak Obama charged with jaywalking |
|
While Bush leaks CIA agents' identities, Cheney commits attempted murder, DeLay launders taxpayer money in schemes, and who knows who else is doing what, our MSM is focusing on minor instances, assuming they even happened and aren't fabricated by the BFEE.
Amazing.

|
Edited on Thu Apr-13-06 01:59 PM by dmordue
Moving into his house, cleaning it and taking care of the kids with no idea when he was coming back or how long it would be multiple times with multiple people. If the information is right it is pretty bad.
If she as the employee seems to always have been female he could have been brought up on child endangerment charges.

17. Glad I don't have you watching my back |

Let me see. Just to name the most obvious, BOENHER HANDED OUT CHECKS ON THE HOUSE FLOOR. I have watched c-span and watched the tyrants in power abuse their power.
Here's the thing. I have seen cnn & others make passing mention of Boenher's abuse of power(maybe 4 times total), but never with a taped piece, played repeatedly, explicitly going after him demanding accountability, like they have done to the honorable Rep Conyers.
An analogy of the differnce between how the rePIGS are abusing their power, and how some Dems (dangerous because they speak out) may make an ethical mistep = a traffic violation and armed robbery.
I have watched on c-span as the thugs ignore Constitutional law and spit on the idea of democratic rule. Until someone goes after those infractions like they are going after Rep Conyers for a potential minor violation, I really wished that people would STFU--or demand that the real criminals are investigated.

8. I have long supported Conyers, but if this is true, he should pay the |
|
piper. One of the things we hate most about the other side is the cicle-the-wagons mentality and the blurring of right and wrong in favor of team-sport politics.
That said, I'm taking all this with a grain of salt at this point. Everything like this is suspect.

How long ago did this allegedly take place? A decade ago. Schultz on AAR was just all over this. Conyers will head the Judiciary Committee when the Dems win '06 and that's gonna mean trouble for Bush Inc.
