Can you believe this? GOP radio ads on immigration
My jaw dropped to the floor when I read this.

The Republicans are running ads in Spanish blaming the Democrats for the Republican-passed House bill that makes undocumented immigrants felons and makes it a felony to help undocumented immigrants:

Bush and Reid swapped charges as Republicans disclosed a Spanish-language radio advertising campaign designed to shoulder Democrats with the responsibility for legislation passed by the GOP-controlled House that would make illegal immigrants subject to felony charges.

The ads are scheduled to air in New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada — states with large Hispanic populations.

2. All they have to convince are their own followers...
They can't afford to lose them on this immigration issue. This was a devastating defeat for the Repubs. Now they want to blame the Democrats? I thought they had a working majority in the House and the Senate. The Democrats were the minority the last I checked. I hope I'm wrong.

3. How exactly do the liars try to pin the House bill on the Dems? The
Dems can't do anything in the House. They are completely helpless.

That is just a blatant lie. Why would stations play an ad that is demonstrably false? I know some MoveOn ads have been rejected where the stations didn't like the innuendo of the ad. This ad would be just flat wrong.

5. I'm talking about the political reality of the minority party in the House
of Representatives.

They have NO power.

6. Especially with a majority party that has NO interest in any compromise
or accomodation, just steamrolling opposition, thank you very much.

The only times there's even any issue of resisting is when there is a schism within their OWN party.
