THE SUPPORT THE TROOPS TALKING POINT IS DEAD |
|
White House put the nail in the coffin of credibility today. The right no longer support the troops, they support the suits at the Pentagon. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060413/pl_nm/iraq_usa_dc_3

Well, I think this is a watershed moment.
The American people are going to believe these Generals. The right does not support the troops.

"This has not been a distraction to him. He looks at challenges that are facing this country in the global war on terror"
War on terror. Who else is so effing tired of hearing this crap. It'd be like if FDR had declared war on blitzkrieg.

10. Personally I HATE it when reporters use '\"The war on terror" |
|
It is a made up marketing tactic of the * administration and these reporters should know it and stop falling for it.
Why don't they change it to: "The pResident's war on terror"?

7. If you're going to run with this, I have one thing to add |
|
The Army made wearing anything other than standard GI issue body armor illegal, since they said that plastics and nylon can melt into the skin during a fire.
Well, that's EXACTLY what Nomex does when a temperature threshold is crossed, and that's EXACTLY what standard issue tank/amphibious tractor crews wear during operations. So the Army is full of crap when they say it's a concern, because it's obviously not.

8. One more propaganda slogan disproved |
|
"Support our troops" unless they chafe at the notion of being tools and props of the fascist regime.

11. The Sergeant who salvaged amour from trashed military vehicles |
|
and had it installed on her vehicles to keep her troops safe, was charged with theft and forced to take a General Discharge, was the last word disproving, “I support our Troops.”
The first was probably from Rumsfield, something like, “All armies complain about their equipment.”

12. I put it to righties like this |
|
The troops are the ones in uniform, the suits are the ones not in uniform.
Who do you support, the troops or the suits?

13. There will be more Generals |
|
There will be more attacks on their patriotism.
But, the public isn't going to be fooled.
