1. It's not a pyramid scheme so much as a straight bribery scheme

Pyramid schemes are where investors who invest early get the most return, while investors who come into the game late get stuck with the debt. What the GOP has done is put out a price list specifying what each level of contribution will get the contributor in the way of Congressional access and influence in writing new legislation.

Why no one has thought to use the words "bribery" and "racketeering" to describe the actions of that party under the Texas mafia is beyond me.
