AMT tax question
Anyone know what income a single, unmarried person, no kids would need before the AMT tax kicks in? I'll be fine this year, but I fear that my new job might push me over the edge in a year or two.

1. I have no idea, but you might want to check with an accountant
That new job sounds like it could be a double-edged sword, huh? Well, at least you get to move here.

2. Use TurboTax -- cheaper than an accountant
and the program will notify you if you need to go the AMT route.

That's what we have done for years.

If you have to pay the quarterly AMT -- TurboTax will print the forms.

Slick way for the GOP to raise taxes on the middle class.
