What would a REAL president do?
The war aside, considering how tough times are with the economy, the devastating weather, the obscene price of gas, etc, etc...wouldn't you think a REAL president would stand up in front of his country, grab the microphone, look us all square in the eye, and talk with a nurturing, comforting voice as he gave us all sound advice on how to get through one crisis after another?

In such hard times as these, a real president would talk to us. He'd tell us that things will get better, and we'd believe him. He'd tell us ways we could conserve on gas in order to make them drop the prices at the pumps. He'd give us hope just by talking to us sincerely, warmly, and with conviction. He'd lay out a plan for all of us to follow. He'd give us faith.

He'd talk on TV directly to the hurricane victims with a consoling sincere voice, and he'd give you hope....make you feel good, instead of sad.

In times like these, don't you wish we had a REAL president to make us all feel better when the going is rough? Isn't that what a leader is supposed to do?

1. I'd like a principled, pragmatic, problem-solver
Reagan was "reassuring" (his biggest strength so legend goes) with a calm, syrupy voice, but he wasn't a real President-just played one on TV. Twenty years on the media types are still trying to sell him to me.

2. You want to be talked nice to while you getting screwed in your ass?
NO.. I don't want another Reagan...

I want an intelligent LIBERAL President... One with foresight and common sense!
I don't want someone who makes me FEEL good... I want a president who DOES good!

8. You read my mind
I remember when another time when we were faced with some similar rough times with problems in the Middle East and with gas shortages here at home. Carter was sincere and he talked to us. He laid out a plan. While it wasn't perfect, it did give us hope. Jimmy Carter was someone who actually cared.

11. Ah Jimmy...
Basicly a great President with a okay vice president - and a nearly lousy cabnet. Not so great of a mix.

9. A combination of Jimmy Carter and FDR would set down and
think! Something that has been sadly lacking in this administration. If he/she had a Dem Congress to work with they would set down and take stock of the problems and possible solutions and act. And the one thing they would do that no repug ever does is consider the what would be good for all the people.
