CAMP CASEY EASTER REPORT: Sometimes you just need pictures...

...because I'm not sure how many of you would believe me if I told you this.

Most of you are probably familiar with my Texas Is Cindy Country signature graphic. Some of you know I've had it printed as a bumper sticker. Cindy Sheehan finally get her own copy of the bumper sticker from me on Good Friday at Camp Casey. So what did she do with it?

Cindy slapped the bumper sticker on her butt. And left it there. All day.



She even modeled it for the shutterbugs at Camp Casey:





And when she posed for a group photo with Rev. Lowery from the SCLC, there it was again:



She has another copy of the sticker for her car and yet another copy to give to Medea Benjamin when she sees her next time.

Thank you, Cindy. It's a very silly way to honor my design, but it's an honor nonetheless.

2. I think they've been released on their own recognizance

They're facing criminal misdemeanor charges for violating the new county ordinance that says you can't camp out in the ditches and shoulders along the roads in Crawford. 14 were arrested, but the cops started letting them out around 8-9pm last night.

I heard that they actually deployed a SWAT team to round up these protesters. Tactical cops, for cryin' out loud. Other than that, I'm short on details.

It was a very congenial arrest, normal sheriffs, very mannerly. They even gave them warnings before they arrested them. Most pleasant protestor arrest I've ever seen. Which speaks volumes as to what the local cops really think about the situation.

It was fun designing the sticker, fun handing it out to DUers, and fun watching Cindy model it!!

Now watch the FReepers bitch about it. If you're reading this, FReepers, think about how much you'd want your loved ones to have a chance to be happy again if anything were to happen to you. There is joy in Camp Casey. Sure, there's sorrow and rememberance, but there is also joy. And that joy is born out of the fact that we still have hope for the human race.

What a cool lady and you too for thinking of that. Great pictures. I miss being there.

Can't wait to see the pics of Proud's son and Emma's Revolution. I talked to her yesterday and she told me her son wanted to marry them, lol. I am so glad he got the chance to get to know them a little and play with them. I'll be waiting for the pictures of Jeff and the ladies.
