I'm not really pro-choice
Edited on Sat Apr-15-06 01:49 PM by happydreams
I'm more like pro-abortion. I think it should be advocated more strongly, particularly in countries where overpopulation is a big problem. We have too many people in the world already that are starving, poor etc. If the pro-lifers really cared about life they would be out trying to do something about that rather than trying to force women to be strapped with unwanted children. If you are pro-life, why not pro-quality of life?

"Contribute to zero-population growth, have an abortion"!

Another hypocrisy of these pro-lifers is their silence when it comes to unquestionably alive people dying in war. Very few are in the streets protesting war.

As I watched this pro-lifer Nazi on NOW last night I got the sense that there was really a hidden agenda: stopping non-marital sex. Shit on the arguement about "pre-marital" sex. How about non-marital sex for those who have no desire to get married?

"Sex is good for you! Didn't you know that?" I wanted to say to the pro-lifer woman being interviewed. I don't think she does know that. In fact I think that these pro-life Nazis want to stop people from employing relaxation techniques that don't involve drugs--prescription and otherwise. Hell, how can you induce fear and consuming behavior in people who know how to relax naturally.

2. I see a lot of people, mostly males, with that attitude
You see, abortion is just peachy with them as long as they control who gets one and who doesn't.

The problem is that it's not your body. When you get pregnant, then it will be your choice.

Right now, it's not. Live with it.

9. Exactly, When I have used that argument, I get back, well some
women feel the same way, I come back with who cares? I am not one of those women who feel that way, its my choice period.

Retro-active abortion. As long as I get to decide who gets one, of course.

8. I rather think birth control should be advocated more strongly.
I do not think abortion should be used as birth control when there are better methods available.

10. Thats not the point though of the whole argument, there is no way
that one can make this issue black and white, its impossible, so that leaves the very real fact that such cannot be argued in a way that everyone is accounted for...

The issue needs to be left alone, choice, thats it.

14. Obviously birth control is a better option I pre-suppose
that the pregnancy was the result of failed or not used birth control.

11. My my my, you said a mouthful here. Questions for you...
What do you think of the policy of killing baby girls and letting baby boys live since this would mean less possible breeders and decrease the overall population? What about sterilizing young people so they won't be able to multiply, but sill enjoy the sex that "is good for you"? Do you advocate increasing contraception (safe, effective, inexpensive) or just abortions? How about increasing funding for safe effective inexpensive contraception research? Wars and starvation decrease the overall population, so why protest and fight either of those? Are you saying that people who are sexually active don't have fear and aren't consumers?

please realize that :sarcasm: is rampant throughout these questions, but I would like to hear your answers.

Sterilizing Repugs! Yea baby!

Fuck contraception bring on the abortions!!

No, Wars could kill me and I don't likes that!

No. I'm saying that sex is a great natural way of relaxing and rejuvenating. Fundie anti-abortionists are fucked up largely because they are hung up on sex.
