1. You forgot Katrina

The conspiracy to suspend Posse Comitatus and Habeas Corpus, institute Martial Law, and depopulate the bluest city in the Deep South... oh, and the various permutations of Patriot Acts and spying on Americans. All of Bushler's actions have been illegal, eventhough his lawyers and friends say otherwise (this makes them just guilty as well).

3. of course "it's time," but how do we actually translate that into....

actual change and accountability? After all, we all know it was "time" when the Supreme Court wiped their butt with the constitution in 2000 and then their ilk just kept accelerating the tyranny ever since and I've yet to see any of our ilk manage to do any more than bitch and moan and theorize....I'm not trying to criticize so much as point out that our back is up against the wall and we'll never gain back the upper hand until we somehow come up with a new and creative way to gain back the podium. .....for anyone who wants to read an advance copy of my story, The Switch, which will do just that, send email to: [e-mail]. here's the synopsis:

My story, The Switch, is built on the notion that, aside from those who are clinically insane, Bush supporters only exist due to being completely ill-informed. But if you could wave a magic wand to make them all cognizant of the facts, then his support would completely evaporate...and it doesn't take magic to communicate information--it requires taking back the podium. The mother of a soldier in Iraq told me: "I was honored to have read it." It starts off as a metaphor on progress, but by page 3 the spanking begins. Yes, 42 pages is long, but there's just that much to spank him for. It's as funny as it is intense as it is informative. Hopefully it won't be long before someone can post and/or publish it somewhere. LEAVE ME YOUR EMAIL IF YOU WANT ME TO FOWARD IT.

4. Right wingers dirtied the word liberal. Maybe liberals/progressives

should elevate the word conspiracy by wearing tinfoil hats as a symbol of pride not shame. Look at how many people DON'T think Charlie Sheen is crazy (I'm one of 'em). The tinfoil hat, in effect, says, "Hey, all those things you said three years ago were apeshit crazy aren't so crazy any more!"
