Abramoff Broke, Lonely Could IMPLICATE 12 IN CONGRESS!

Abramoff broke, lonely, New York Times will report
RAW STORY
Published: January 9, 2006

"After pleading guilty last week to federal corruption charges in Washington and Florida, Jack Abramoff, former lobbyist, is learning how unpleasant disgrace can be," the New York Times will report in Tuesday editions, RAW STORY has learned. Excerpts:

Even if Abramoff wanted to escape the suburban home where he has hunkered down, the knee surgery he underwent Thursday has hobbled him. He sits at home, friends say, speculating about which of the people who no longer return his calls are making which anonymous snipes in the newspapers...

And, of course, he is dangerous. As part of his plea, Abramoff agreed to become the principal witness in what many say could be the most explosive corruption investigation in congressional history. Abramoff's ties to the Republican Party stretch into the executive branch, and he could implicate up to 12 members of Congress, people involved in the case said.

Abramoff, who will be sentenced after fulfilling his agreement to cooperate with prosecutors, continues spewing messages on his Blackberry, even though his crimes were partly exposed by hundreds of brash e-mail messages chronicling his actitivies and contempt for his clients.

"You can't stop him," one person close to him said.

1. Abramoff is a cornered rabid dog.
He's going to come out biting all the hands that fed him.

11. Yep, except he'll think it's the other way around.
That HE made THEM and that they owe him. Maybe he's right, but, either way, they're disowning him - viciously and publicly - and Jack's gonna roll and roll and roll and roll and..... Heh.

really think he will name all the names he could name.

10. J.D. Hayworth the disgusting orangutan. It would be great to see him in
spin mode after Abramoff signs, seals and delivers him to the feds. :nopity:

30. Yes, please, Rohrabacher, the Grand Poobah of Abramoff defenders.
I watched him on a video clip defending bush's spying. He was loud, obnoxious, overbearing, and had absolutely no facts to back up his bombastic tirade. In essence, the quintessential Republican.

33. How could they go after him
for BS and slime? Everyone already knows Abramoff is a crook. They couldn't possibly say or do anything to make him look worse. In addition, the worse Abramoff looks, the worse his ex-buddies look.

So if that is true what would happen to Congress next? I heard on Stephanie Miller's show she reported about sixty, but a 100 is pretty big!! Wow!

32. we had a simular incident here in Oklahoma back in the '70s
with the county commissioners almost all the commissioners throughout the state were charged and convicted, best I can remember it was well over a hundred. Only one beat his charge, and he was our commissioner, cost him everything he had, died a poor man. a guilty found not guilty man. So I'm loving watching all these scandals unfold and feeling comfortable that the truth will come out, justice will be. American's are not going to lay down and roll over, they're just now starting to wake up and when they do it will be hell to pay, as Will Rogers said years ago there needs to be a politician hanging from every tree between here and washington. We keep rattling cages, making noices, our voice's will be heard.

34. A song keeps going through my mind...
It's one of the many great songs from that great musical, "Fiddler on the Roof"...

"If I were a rich man...ya da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da...
...the most important men in town would come to call on me...
they'd ask me to advise them...
like Solomon the wise... ('if you please, Rabbi Jack... pardon me, Rabbi Jack')... posing questions that would cross a rabbi's eyes!!

...and it won't make one bit of diff'rence
if I answer right or wrong...
when you're rich, they think you really know!"

(Sorry, Jack. Your "friends" were just using you--sort of like you were using them. Your restaurant is closed. You'll have to go back to your humble Beverly Hills roots now.)
