It's too late baby......well it's just too late |
|
though we really tried too~o make it....something inside has died and I'm just too tired too 'make it'.
We almost 'had it all' ..... and now we have nothing. The Progressive movement was sooooooooooooooooo wonderful.....did we lose b/c we didn't recognize that 'evil forces' will NEVER STOP. We must be ever vigilant! (we thought that everyone working thinks the same way that we do? They don't. Everyone has their own (mis-guided, perhaps) agenda.
What are progressive's really working toward? And what do we need to do to 'get us there'??

2. Like THE MARY ELLEN CARTER, rise again. |
|
--for any of you Stan Rogers fans out there.
It's never too late for anything.
By close of business Friday, 8 or 9 generals were calling for the head of the Secretary of Defense.
Be of good cheer.

3. And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow |
|
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go Turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain And like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again!
Rise again, rise again! Though your heart it be broken or life about to end No matter what you've lost, be it a home, a love, a friend Like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again!
God love ya, Stan. What would he be saying about all of this if he were still with us today....

5. NinetySix! I love your filling in the lyrics to that song by Stan |
|
Rogers.
I love that the verse matches our mood here on the progressive boards at DU.
I love that George Bush's administration is toast and that the future is bluer than ever.
And I appreciate your post very much.
Thank you!

4. Whatever Can't Continue, Won't |
|
just try to stay out of the path of the inevitable....
I have to admit, though, corporate fraud and Bush stealing the first election caught me flatfooted, and wreaked havoc on my finances. Don't know if I'll ever recover, and I'm not alone.

Weve gotten over the stolen elections, so now that our votes aren't worth the electrons they are stored on... not much. We lost, they won.
