re:the allegations of conyers using his staff as babysitters...they spent 5.5 minutes alluding that conyers was evading their reporter..1/2 minutes stating that conyer's attorney has answered all charges-which are heresay, and most of which happened over 5 years ago. They were investigated 2 years ago-and have not been contacted by the house ethivcs committe...that is until this story was rebroadcast to cast an ill shadow on mr conyers, one of bush's most verbal, and eloquent critics.

9. Why do you torment yourself watching them?
You will never get a real news broadcast from them. Many of us have been emailing them for years since we got sick of real news coverage being ignored in favor of Chandra Levy and Gary Condit.

The news never gets better, so they don't care what the public wants. I believe if we could peek into their books we would find huge subsidies being paid to them from those interested in keeping the propaganda up in favor of the Bush Residency.

11. This qualifies as equivalence in CNN universe
See? Conyers the Democrat asks a staffer to watch his kids five years ago, that's the same as Jack Abramoff buying, selling and trading Republican congressmen like baseball cards. Oh yeah, it also balances out Ney, Frist, Scalia, Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, Hyde, and DeLay.

Seems like meaningless chaff in a whirlwind to me, but then I don't have the news insight and perspicacity of a world-wide news service like CNN.

12. Let them get it out now and be done with it...
Better to get this stuff out now, than later. Also, why worry about it? Does Conyers have any real upcoming opposition?

14. Do what I did, cancel your cable subscription until we take back the media
I gave up writing them months ago. Don't forget, that DU and DailyKos and even the least read blogs, get more hits than Cable channels get viewers these days.

The last email I wrote was to tell them not to respond to me, I just wanted them to know I was cancelling them.

When millions do it, it will have an effect. I know my one cancellation meant nothing, and I knew they did not read my email, as I got the usual electronic response.

Emailing them, even negative emails, tells them people are watching. Boycotting all of them is the only way to stop the lying.

I will tell anyone I know who may have seen that what I know about Conyers. If everyone does that, it will help diffuse their smears.

It would have more effect to counter their attempt to smear Conyers, to email everyone we all know, and ask them to email everyone they know, to warn them that Conyers will be smeared and tell them why, rather than wasting time with the propaganda machine, imo.

First Cynthia McKinney, now Conyers ~ we can expect this, as they are now feeling threatened and it looks like the Dems will win in Nov. and Conyers will finally be in a position to start the hearings we should have had right after the 2000 election.

Don't worry--the only people who watch CNN are geeks like us. Anyone who might be impressed is over at Fox. Now, I am sure Fox is covering the hell out of this story, but you would expect that.

17. Stop watching them and get your friends to do the same
Identify their sponsors and let them know what you're doing and why. That's they way to deal with them. CNN could give a shit about your e-mails. They're going to keep right on whoring as long as Time/Warner is willing to subsidize their garbage.

18. Think about the coverage they have given on Tom Delay...
and compare it with this. I just recall that all they did regarding Delay was give him a forum to espouse his innocence and to blame it all on Dems. With Conyers they have set it up to make him look like a sneaky, underhanded little rotter who is playing fast and loose with House rules. Shame, shame!!

The reason they are on the witch hunt after Conyers is obvious. Just like Cynthia McKinney, he has been TOO outspoken about the corruption of the Bush cabal and, not only that, he has lead many independent investigations. He is just getting too close to the rotten core and the admin. has sicked their patrol dogs on him.

SHAME ON CNN...

The bias in this matter just REEKS!!! :grr::mad::grr::mad::argh::puke:
