1. the link at the site isn't working for me...
I keep getting an error message saying the file can't be found in Firefox and in IE it just goes to a Page Not Found screen.

What is it the Rove said?

they are building a plant in india that has zero emission coal power.

says coal can reduce dependancy on middle eastern oil.

and then wraps up acting like he has solved the energy crisis, with COAL.

asshat.

edit to add, I hate the way they have kids pushing coal in the ad campaign

5. That's bullshit.
If they could burn coal with zero emissions--which they can't--why build the plant in India?

10. While normally, that would be the case,
We don't usually outsource electricity production.

See Post #9. That poster makes some good sense. :hi:

7. There's a plant in Florida somewhere
I remember from an NPR segment long ago that there's a coal-burning power plant in Florida somewhere that has zero emissions and also produces some valuable industrial chemicals--sulphuric acid, I think. I'm vague on the details but it was something about how the power companies could'nt afford to pay for the technology and the government wouldn't pay for another one.

8. Zero emissions but lots of dead miners if done in the US.
Anti-worker sentiment, anti-government regulation, anti-union sentiment among the leaders of this nation will make this virtually impossible. Unless, of course, they are planning on hiring illegal immigrants to work the mines.

9. I think he said Indiana... which would be the
low emmission coal gassification project, but not zero... no way.

12. He said India.

And he did say zero emissions.

He also said that we have cleaner air and water today than we did 30 years ago.

I happened to catch a minute of this when it orig. aired on c-span. Go to 46:52 and listen to him talk about 9/11. Not one trace of concern or empathy for the victims - he only talks about being met by soldiers in combat gear w/machine guns & the fighter cover for AF1.

What an asshat on all counts.

Note to Karl: There's no "R" in the word "Washington."
