I missed it so much. It was great when Jon came back last week but now I can end my days with them both.

13. He DID destroy her! She said she "hates judges" and Colbert said said,

"who needs judges when the president can interpret the law."

Those were loose quotes, but something like that just happened, and she was shown responding with some emotion, just for a second or two, and then there was an obvious edit - right after his remark and a short glimpse of her reply, they cut to Colbert saying "thank you for coming" (or something like that), and she was doing her best to smile as they shook hands and the segment ended.

She was obviously taken aback, stunned even, by Colbert's great, perfectly-timed line. And then the edit.

Good stuff.

He disarmed her when she thought he was attacking and then gave her that zinger.

I'm glad he and Jon are back, both shows bring a smile to my face for an hour.
