Well...My Repug brother and nephew said Dictator and Fascist... |
|
this weekend. I was shocked and maybe the worm really is turning. My brother used to defend them trying to be funny but he saw no humor in bush this weekend and my nephew..... He said that for the first time in his life he was going to write about something and then thought if it might get him into trouble. He couldn't believe the thought even crossed his mind. Regarding Iran, they both thought the administration was out of their minds. I have to tell you that it was refreshing though I reminded them that all this couldn't happen without the republican party supporting and covering up for him. We have to convince those turning on bush that it is the party that is the real problem and not let them off the hook.

1. The reason they must turn on Bush is because they cannot... |

accept that their core beliefs are rotten. That is what the Republicans have tapped into. Uncertainty about the role of women, fear of homosexuals, anxiety about other races, resentment of those who live off their taxes and prevent them from being rich, etc. Rather than think about and challenge those beliefs, they must bring their worldview back into equilibrium by scapegoating Bush, who is, after all, just a symptom of the Republican disease, not the cause.
