The way I see it, next week we will have only 1000 days left of w. |

We will be hitting A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT on April 29, 2006. I think that this is cause for celebration! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=169x5628

2. Dear heavens, that long? |

Do you realize that this decade will be defined as the Bush decade? He will have served all but 24 months of this whole decade (if something like a resignation or impeachment doesn't occur).

5. The steep decline or the bush decade |

one or the other. I think that 9-11-01 was a tipping point. Lack of security, desire for profit over safety, and war instead of diplomacy has caused us to slip in to a declining empire. Our sole superpower status will soon evaporate, and we will be one power of many. Hated, reviled.

That doesn't seem as long as 2 yrs, 9 mths, however many days, hours and seconds.
Either way you look at it, it's still too long and he can still do a LOT of damage.

I fear w. will be dangerous in his last days. Unless Condi is left to run the show, I think that w. will make it hard to follow him. Bill Clinton's staff took all of the "w" keys off of keyboards in the white house when he left office. What do you think w. will leave for the next president?

I heard the same thing. Not till months afterwards, of course, because it's not interesting that nothing happened. It's too bad, because I thought taking off the Ws was a pretty cute idea. Hardly vandalism, just a little goofiness.

It is clear to me that the Chimp's Presidency can not survive for three more years. Prediction: Bush will not be the man in office when the President who is elected in 2008 takes office.
