Cafferty File

Jack Cafferty sounds off on the stories crossing his radar. Write in to answer Jack's hourly questions, and watch to see if he reads your response.

4 p.m. ET: Is it inappropriate for retired military officers to call for Secretary Rumsfeld's resignation?

5 p.m. ET: Does it mean anything when Neil Young writes a song called "Impeach the President"?

7 p.m. ET: Should the United States engage in direct talks with Iran about its nuclear program?

Send in your answers to Jack's questions

3. Re the nuclear talks with Iran.....

Thanks to the BushCo badministration and all their sabre-rattling it's probably too late for any meaningful discussions with Iran. They would be too much entrenched on the defensive and the BushCo vigilante mob would be too much on the offensive.

5. here's mine....
Is it 'okay' for retired generals to speak out?
In today's world it is not okay to speak out about anything that resembles reality. These generals need to be made an example of. Perhaps we should have public hangings on the White House lawn. After all we are headed in that direction....might as well kick off the practice with some big guns

Does Neil Young's song mean anything? You have to ask the FCC. If it has anything that could be construed to have 'meaning' it will be banned, boycotted, and buried. What country are you living in?

Should the US talk to Iran?
The US already has a presence in Iran...and I'm sure they're communicating in some way. Is CNN all ready for "Shock & Awe II"? They say it's better than the original...more bang for the buck.
