Coming up on the Majority Report tonight: Dean, McGovern
Howard Dean, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

George McGovern, former U.S. Senator from South Dakota, Democratic nominee for President in 1972, decorated combat veteran, and currently the United Nations global ambassador on hunger. He'll be appearing with:

Stephen Vittoria, director, on his new fil, "One Bright Shining Moment: The forgotten Summer of George McGovern," which retraces McGovern's bold, grassroots presidential campaign of 1972. It's now available on DVD.

Bill Scher, regular guest and blogger from Liberal Oasis, with his weekend talk-show wrap-up, and a look at the week ahead.

3. And not to pick on Janeane...
but all that stream-of-consciousness babbling doesn't work on the radio. I agree with just about everything she says, but her thought-and-delivery process is very radio unfriendly.

8. anyone read McCarthy gave up on the system
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 03:50 AM by cyclezealot
he retired to the Shendoah's and tried to forget about how hopeless the system is. McCarthy's retirement to the mountains, he just read and wrote. McGovern has more determination. I hope his determination pays off. and even more, causes Dean to stick to his original principals. Some debate about those principals this past year.

at least testify. Like watergate, starts out little. We know they have done things in other states. Not isolated incident.

They're gone. their reign has effectively ended.
