1. Cheney was here today, attracted many protestors
Everett, actually, about 25 miles north of Seattle. just had a segment on the local news. It was great, they were trying to get a close-up of a "pro-cheney" counterprotestor with a Support the Troops sign, but a wily ant-cheney man got behind her with a huge The War Is Lie sign, taller than he was, maybe the size of a mattress, an awesome shot! I was hooting at the tv.

The newscaster also mentioned that Cheney is being turned down for speaking engagements by many Repugs, and noted that while the guy cheney was schilling for (can't remember his name, and frankly, who cares) is happy for the opportunity to have cheney speak and raised alot of $, he's not sure if cheney's unpopularity will hurt the campaign, just wait and see.

2. They always try to find the one pro-BushCo counterprotester...
I remember watching the evening news in Washington after last year's big antiwar protest. One channel played the news almost as if the number of counterprotestors came close to the number of war protestors. (Believe it or not, it was the Faux affiliate).
