TOUGH LUCK KATRINA VICTIMS; AMERICA COULDN'T CARE LESS
It was tough luck when Nero-bush fiddled while your loved ones drowned. It was tough luck, when right after the storm Nero-Bush announced that the "private sector" would have to fix things in New Orleans but fortunately Congress did not support his ludicrous remark.

Most of all, it's tough luck that you're still homeless while trailers bought to offset the issue sit unoccupied in Arkansas. It will be tough luck when they start moving those trailers all over the nation in a few weeks at about $1.5 Million in expense to tax-payers.

It's all tough luck because no Katrina victim will ever set foot in one of those trailers.

It will be even tougher luck for many more as a new hurricane season begins. Already this year tornadoes are breaking records in frequency and devastation. The upcoming Hurricane season is expected to be the worst in recorded history. Still, Nero-Bush fiddles around in Iraq for no other reasons except greed and a desire to revive his image.

2. Great cartoon. And yes, it is tough luck for them, and for
anybody else in the US who is in the way of an "act of God", or levee failure.

5. i just heard of the Madras fault that runs right through where i live...
I didn't know the deep south was where one of the worst earth-quakes in U.S. history took place in the 1800's.

Everyone in the US can become a tornado victim any month of the year but some are more likely than others. People will freeze to death up north next winter for lack of heating oil: Is that another "act of God?"

11. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear.
To the power elite (and Bushco): it's just tough luck.

As for people freezing to death, Bushco and their ilk would say they should have done this or they should have done that, then it wouldn't have happened. Same old victim-blaming.

12. sorry i misunderstood
yep, that's part of the point but my motivation arises from the notion that humanity must stop forgetting and begin to learn from past mistakes.

4. Good article, thanks.
Yes, this is outrageous!

Hey JG, could you please reconsider your posting in ALL CAPS? Web etiquette is such that ALL CAPS implies SCREAMING at somebody. I noticed you prefer SCREAMING in your thread titles. :)

7. Slight correction there - America cares, Shrub doesn't
And, last time I checked, GWB wasn't America.

Not even close.

9. good point but America seems to have a short memory
it's easy to forget things we'd rather not think about in the first place, like Nero-Bush and Republican attitudes toward us commoners.

8. How many more homeless will there be after this summer?
We are undoubtedly going to get hit by at least one major hurricane this season and probably more. Imagine the outcry after Bush fiddles his way through this hurricane season especially if he starts another war in the meantime. He won't make it to election day 2006.

Do you want to know what will tone down the outcry? no more TV, no more computers, no more fuel for heating or cars.
