Question in Iran's Nukes
Has there been ANY expert state anything to the contrary as to Iran is at least five years away from developing a nuke, probably more? Everything I've read states this rather frankly; I'm just wondering what has the chickenhawks' panties in a wad here.

I just haven't seen anything contrary.

1. That is the most reliable estimate.
At best guess, what has the neo-cons knotted is the possibility of an oil bourse priced in Euros, and the inability of this administration to bully the world into sanctions ......at a guess. This "war against Islam" thing has been planned for some time, I'm thinking.....

4. In my non-expert opinion, I'd say two to three years.
The announcement last week was huge. With the production of large amounts of UF6, the Iranians solved their last technical hurdle towards the bomb. Their problem was a source of fluorine. Irans own sources of fluorine were contaminated and unsuitable for UF6 production. And nobody, as far as it was known, was selling Iran purified fluorine. This was why people were estimating it would take ten years. But apparently they've got a hold of some good fluorine, I suspect they bought it- Russia or China or Halliburton. It is still a matter of enriching the stuff, and that will take a few years, but it's going to happen. We're going to have to live in a world where Iranians have the bomb.
