If every U.S. citizen received a bill in the amount of $28,218 tomorrow, do you think it would make a difference? Or should there be brackets like with the income tax?

1. Oh brackets, definitely
Rich, Republican, Bush voters can make up the brackets. The rest of us don't have to pay anything!

3. Maybe if every citizen really did receive a bill like that
for every member of their family some of these asshole numbskulls would wake up.

4. Only tell them a few weeks later that it was only to make a point.
That would shock 'em pretty well.

5. There's nothing wrong with having some national debt.
As a matter of fact, the US Treasury Market is so vital to the functioning of the global economy that there must be some debt. However, we are probably at least a couple trillion too heavy.

10. Well, since that is more than we get in a year- no.
Please forward my bill to someone more able to pay it, say some of those folks living in the gated communities in SoCal.

12. the way I figure it, there are about 12,000 people who each owe a trillion
and another 30 or 40 million who belong in jail or mental hospitals.

The rest of us get to divvy up the difference.
