The loss of life is terrible, I hope as many people got out of those buildings as possible. I fear the government is going to use this to instigate martial law or something. We are locked out of the "I hate to say this" forum. Whoever set this up clearly achieved the goal of disrupting the economy. I hope people will see the waste of the missle defense shield, Biden and other Democrats were talking about our vunerability just days ago. at some point FOX reported some 20 planes were hijacked.

Others reported that a DC police airplane was hijacked.

This may have been due to confusion caused by all kinds of exercises and war-games (including both simulated and life-fly hijackings) going on on 9-11-01.

They really must have been in shock. I was living in Hawaii on September 11th, 2001 so watching everything about it on TV for me was like having the perspective of somebody living in a foreign country. I knew Bush was complicit in the attacks.

On 9/11/01, I happened to have a dentist appointment. I knew that something really terrible had happened, but didn't know exactly what until I was held hostage in my dentist's chair, and watched that second plane hit the North Tower, over and over and over, on her TV, on CNN. By the time I walked out of my dentist's office, I was scared witless, thought the world was about to end. And that was the day that made me political. Until then I had always voted, mostly for Democrats, but the details put me to sleep. But that day inspired me to learn what was really going on in this country, and the world. Since then, I have read and asked questions and I found DU. This has become a consuming interest with me, as it should be for everyone. I still understand apathy, but not in this country, as it is. I have learned a great deal in a very short time, and haven't much liked what I've learned, but I know now that I'm prepared and informed, that I'll never be fooled or blindsided, again. We need to take back this country, before it's too late. And I'm grateful to DU for the education, the connections and the camaraderie. Thanks to DU, I sure know that I'm hardly the only one who feels as I do. Welcome to the club, my friend! We're so glad that you're with us!

...a third explosion at the base of WTC2 (in reality, it was WTC2 collapsing). It took Chris Jansing about 2 minutes to correctly report that the 3rd explosion was actually WTC2 coming down.
